I feel like the battle video of Gaga vs Beyonce was unfair at times, as Gaga's microphone (usually) had less vocal effects because most of the song choices were stripped down songs or things in the studio. But these are all part of the many variables that she discussed!

The Vocal Battle vs Kelly was the most unfair thing ever... The person who chose the clips clearly wanted Kelly to win easy.

Gaga does her outfits/style over the years for Vogue. One of the things she mentions in regard to her Star Bangled Banner ensemble (her favorite look) is that it was bulletproof--literally.

I remember reading Paula Abdul run on a treadmill for an hour everyday while practicing her vocals to get ready for the Spellbound tour. That's a lot of work, but I maybe that's what some of these singers do to get ready for dancing and singing at the same time.

I think some of those clips were a bit unfair to Gaga. There'd a clip of her in her early NY bar grungy days playing piano, up against Kelly just singing and holding a note. Holding a note is always open to more bias. Kelly has what I call a generic voice, but one people are prone to cling to. It's a bias thing. I notice that many people favor any voice that sounds similar to the status quo.

The first clip of Sia is lazy diction tbh... Call it as u see it and she missed a part where she was supposed to sing "feel my tear as they dry" as if we wouldn't notice.

I love Gaga so much but her technique isn’t consistent. Plus she can get nasal in high notes.

It's very unfortunate how her voice has changed over the last 1-2 years. I don't know if it's her actual voice or her technique but it sounds rather unpleasant when she sings now. I know that her technique wasn't quite as good in the beginning of her career, but I really enjoyed the tone of her voice in 2010-2014. Her Cheek 2 Cheek vocals were impressive and nice to listen too as well, but sometime around 2016 her voice changed a lot. Her National Anthem this year was very hard to listen to. Her acoustic performances during ARTPOP were my favorite though!
