My partner came out digging with me today, she found her first bottle and some other really great bottles too including some nice poisons. We both had a great time and it was lovely to have a bit of company and share the experience of discovering some history.

Live in Carlisle Cumbria and our local cricket club is being dug up by the archaeology team Cumbria, it is a Roman baths, they have volunteers helping to dig & clean the objects and then they will be on display at the our local museum " Tullie house " opposite our castle. The cricket club has been flooded over the last year.

That’s a very beautiful bouquet. You combined the colors nicely. I’m pretty sure your lady will sigh with appreciation! My fav find is the tinnie tiny bottle!

Hello Ed and Anna, Anna was your lucky charm. Loved the two poison bottles, especially the cobalt. Another favorite is the embossed wine since I've never seen a wine bottle embossed before. I would've kept the pickle jar because you don't find many that are embossed. You could've researched it to see if it's a rare or scarce bottle if not chuck or recycle. It was cool that you found a beer. Always a good day if you find a complete bottle that you've didn't have. Take care Ed and maybe we'll see Anna again.

Thanks Debra! I am really rubbish with introductions aren't I! Her name is Henrieta or Hen for short 🙂 Poisons are always a welcome find. The pickle jar was quite badly cracked too so not very good and I have found quite a few of them in the past so don't think they are too rare but still interesting 👍 See you again soon 😁

You have a terrific smile. First time watcher, awesome finds and it amazes me how many diggers there are and y’all find great things! If I were there I’d be dragging all the treasures home with me, broken too, and always a marble! The bead is lovely, maybe Czech? Keep on‼️. 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸

Thank you and welcome, I do try to take most of them back with me, some go on my Esty store to free up some space but it would be a shame to rebury them. I don't have a clue on beads as I don't find too many of them so you probably know more than I do, thanks for watching 😁👍

Got me going with that colour change on the poison! Nice dig for you. I did my first on Sunday for 35 years, lasted three hours, needed some of that wine tonic! Luckily I got a few good surface finds from the contractor's spoil heaps. Happy digging 👍👍

@@VintageParagonUk I visited a well dug tip, but only because a recent development meant that the contractor dug out and cleared part of the site. Many broken bottles but picked up a couple of codds and a ginger so well worth it. 👍

Great dig buddy. Really enjoyed it. the triangle shaped bottle. I think is a coddliver oil bottle. Iv dug a few of them. & I remember one had a little bit of the label on it. Thats said the word. Coddliver on it. Thanks for sharing buddy. All the best to you 👍 😁

Beautiful bottles. Do you ever keep any of the broken pottery or China? Those flowers were so pretty. I bet Henrietta loved them.

Thanks 🙂 I use Avon Skin so soft and it really keeps the critters away! It smells like old ladies but leaves my skin silky smooth and bite free 🤣🤣

Trealaw, mostly pronounced Tre al low. Lush vulcanites, aesthetically pleasing. I carry one in my bag at all times to ward off evil spirits and werewolves. Definitely works, never seen a werewolf. Alas picking wild flowers in Wales is illegal. So that's 14 days in Cardiff prison coming up.

Thanks, usually just bottle brushes and brick acid for any rust but I am lucky and they don't get much sickness from this dump 👍

I dont think anyone will tell you a location but I am sure you could find somewhere if you looked. Check old maps for old quarries, ponds or ditches that have been filled in, they were sometimes by rivers or the other side of a stream. stinging nettles and brambles are a give away as they love the ash to grow on, good luck 👍
