I agree with Mavin104. "Big hit" bands are a dime a dozen. The sweetness of Ladytron is that not only is their sound and Helen's voice pure bliss to listen to, they don't cater to a mass audience. Their style and humility, as well as their lack of ego, make them seductively unique -- a gem indeed to those lucky enough to discover them. They're sublime, and what makes them beautiful is that they don't know it.

Never heard of Ladytron until I saw them live at the Ottawa Bluesfest Music Festival a few days ago...I thought they had a really great sound and presence

I don't know why they have so far failed to have the big hit that they obviously deserve, especially with so much electronica around. They deserve it for 10 years of great music.

mmmm... this reminds me of the 80's, when i was in the army. What a growing experience, opened my mind up to worlds and cultures i never knew were there. In a sense, i did sleep my way out of my hometown, by committing to the army. it was worth it. It was scary, afraid of losing one's self identity, but you can never stop being who you are- and the ability to change is a sign of intelligence. I'd be Helen Marnie's playgirl any day.
