Laem Son Beach is one of the more remote beaches on Koh Mak. It is located on the far northeast end of the island.
At Laem Son Beach you will find a wide stretch of empty sand, crystal clear water, and a nice sea pines on the back of the beach giving some much needed shade.
The beach runs all the way around “Laem Son Cape” with views both north and east. The only facilities on the beach is a long shack with a local Thai food restaurant. They offer an assortment of of the normal Thai dishes, cold drinks, and fresh seafood. There is also a bathroom you can use for 10 Baht and beach chairs you can rent for the day.
The tiny island of Koh Kradat is located about 1 kilometer across the water from Laem Son Beach. The operators of the restaurant on the beach can arrange a trip to it for 400 Baht a person round trip.
To get to Laem Son Beach you will need to follow a dirt road through the rubber trees. It is a bit of a challenge for those inexperienced on a motorcycle.
The beach is a great destination for anyone wanting to enjoy the peace and tranquility of an isolated Thai beach. The crowds on Koh Mak are nonexistent and even more so on this remote beach.

Koh Mak is a nice island. It’s a bit more difficult to get to than some of the more popular destinations. It’s still not too difficult though. Koh Mak is great. I like Koh Kut a bit better but it’s like asking yourself what is better vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Lol Glad you enjoyed it and let me know if you have any questions about it before you head out. I did a video of getting there by bus/ ferry as well if you are wondering about that.

@@endlessjourneytravels cheers will do We are coming over there to retire in a couple months will be asking a lot of questions south of Hua hin appeal to me quiter but still in reach of everything if needed have been checking lots of vlogs and utube out nervous but excited will be in touch along the way thanks again

That spot is sweet. I would bring my owls nest hammock and have a nap. I wonder if they would let you pitch a tent for a night. Adding to my list a couple lazy days well spent there.

It’s a cool beach for sure. I don’t think they would let you. The new housing development are the ones that would probably block you since they also restrict access to the beach by the houses and have put up no drone signs.

@@endlessjourneytravels I feel ya on that. For me it is all the Wokeness in the states, I do not need new pronouns, It is starting and quickly turning very socialist. I now have to hire someone so they check a box, not on the abilities, it is scary. read to go, soon I will, very excited.
