What video did they show to the ref for the VAR check on that penalty call? I thought for sure that after seeing that absolutely atrocious flop that the ref would call it a goal kick and give the flopper a yellow. I mean how is that not a flop? The flopper kicks the ball farther than he can reach it as he sees the slide coming in, then purposefully throws himself to the ground after dragging his feet trying to get the defender to touch his toes, and when the defender pulls his legs out of the challenge, the flopper flops anyways. Absolute BS VAR call. I’d be ashamed to be on that flopper’s team.

Referee needs a serious fine and suspension. Something soo obvious the league needs to do something about this. It’s soo blatant it seems like foul play and cheating is involved here…How do u look at this in slow motion and call it a penalty. How???? Galaxy was the better team and didn’t deserve to lose this game. A draw was a fair result.

I honestly have zero interest in either of these teams and was just randomly watching soccer highlights… and I’ve never seen a red decision like this after a VAR check. To watch that and still be like, you i made the right decision no doubt… opens some serious questions with MLS refereeing. I can’t believe even after the introduction of VAR that obviously divers are 1. Still trying their luck with full committed dives with acting conviction and 2. We are still rewarding their diving performance with the PK. Will we really learn nothing? 😑

Los Angeles is BLACK & GOLD. If you don't believe it. Check the statistics between the team's performances from 2018 - 2024. LAFC wins on all metrics and measurements. Los Angeles is currently Black and Gold strictly on that until Galaxy do something to bounce back.

El arbitraje simplemente estubo fatal. Muchas patadas por parte de los jugadores de LAFCHIVAS sin que el arbitro sacara las amarillas y lo mas lamentable fue ese penal inexistente. Apesar que lo reviso, no se en donde mira la falta si claramente se ve que ni lo tocan. En fin. Siempre hay revanchas. Hoy gano el equipo del patio trasero de la casa de LA GALAXY.

You’re right, Mccarthy saved many chances than Lloris in 2nd half. It’s easier to point fingers at others. How were they able to come back from 2-0 at Kansas City in second half but couldn’t do that at BMO. Not only did Galaxy lose their undefeated streak but also Jovelic’s consecutive scoring streak.
