Why doesn’t LAFD get the 45 or 50 ft snorkel like 227 Back in 68ot70’s they also had one at 61 in miracle mile Sam brown worked back in the day, do you think the small snorkel would be good for Hollywood hills/Brentwood since some ladder trucks can’t get up some areas,basic engine can

In the most recently announced promotional opportunity for LAFD Apparatus Operator, the candidate must have completed at least three years of full-time paid fire suppression certified experience in the City of Los Angeles Fire Department by June 15, 2023 to compete for the position.

Is there a difference between los angles city or los angles county ?.....

Yes. There are two similar sounding but separate fire departments. Our agency is the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) sometimes referred to as the Los Angeles City Fire Department. You can find out more about our agency, that serves the City of Los Angeles at LAFD.ORG The other agency is the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD). You can learn more about that agency, that serves the unincorporated areas of our County, as well as prroviding at: www.fire.lacounty.gov/ The LAFD and LACoFD serve nearby but separate areas.
