Aa Gattununtaava from Rangasthalam is my personal favorite Ram Charan dance number. It is very unique because, although the dance is very nice, you end up admiring his performance and what it means for the story as a whole more than the visuals of the steps themselves (similar to Pushpa). Makes for a more compelling viewing experience since there is an narrative/dramatic component to the dance.

@@americansreview Wonderful! If you have time, you can also react to the lyrical version sung by Shiva Nagulu. What is interesting is that director Sukumar shot the video with Devi Sri Prasad’s voice and then asked Nagulu to sing the song (which is common practice). However, Nagulu’s voice did not sync up with Charan’s voice, so they didn’t include it in the movie. However, after the movie’s release, Nagulu’s version became much more popular than the one from the movie, although the one from the movie pairs nicely with the video song.

I’m American and I’m also going down the rabbit hole of his work after RRR. He’s so entertaining. I really love the Ek Baar dance number. The movie it’s from is a bit of a mess, not gonna lie, but I love the way that sequence is filmed and he looks so cool! Rangasthalam is his best acting performance, from what I’ve seen so far. It reminds me of Colin Farrell in Banshees of Inishiren in a way, where he’s very comical but also very, VERY dangerous when he’s pushed. TDLR: I really like Ram Charan and I think he’s a great talent.

Ram charan is not a trained dancer. Allu arjun is trained in western style of dancing and NTR trained in one of the classical dances of India which is called Kuchipudi.
