Lair of Darkness is ultra rare very powerful card that have effect to make all monster attribute on the field become Dark. But the real terrible effect of this card is being able to tribute the opponent's monster to activate the effect card that you have. This effect has synergy with virus card because to activate virus card you must tribute 1 Dark monster. With effect of Lair of Darkness, you can tribute opponent's monster to activate Virus card. This combo is really amazing, and maybe this combo can make your opponent rage XD

Couple tips for lair deck: Try to use the viruses on your own turn, as it using it on their turn will 1. Give them the tokens instead of you (which are great for building into link monsters) and 2. Will give an extra turn of theirs to burn cards. When the virus is used on their turn, it will count as 1 of the 3. Conversely, try to save your quick play tributes (such as mystic wok) or your traps for their turn if you have monsters with tribute effects that are not quick play (diabolos or ahrima) so you have a reaction for their turn.

If your opponent had even a slightly better deck they'd have won far sooner. Too many bricky cards in that lair deck.

I always liked the mad idea to tribute the opponents monster for my. Also, I always liked Virus and that structure deck back then, but It was wasn't flexible enough. This here made a tiny but destructive Update, make enemies monster to DARK, and that you can sacrefice them for YOUR OWN VIRUS cards.

1 year later but i drop advice. Try out "beat cop of the underworld". Its a link 2 monster that is very generic and has an effect that sacrifices as cost. Also play fullforce virus since it is the best virus by nowadays standard, change it for the virus that destroys monster on deck since thats neutral at best and can help him set up value with that op version of foolish burial (backjack, electromagnetic turtle, malicious, simply reducing number of cards in his deck etc). What i usually do is use fullforce virus to see his hand and inmediatelly after that using erradicator virus to choose spell or traps knowing wich one hurts him more

I added 2 barrier statue of the abyss to the deck. It completely stopped n eldilrich player from being able to play it was beautiful. I don't know why I never thought of adding it before. Lair of darkness doesn't change them to dark till they hit the field so they still can't special summon. It stop your link and xyz plays but u can still summon beat cop. And lair summons dark tokens so your good there as well

Gozen Match can provide a similar lockdown and is easier to keep on the field than a relatively week monster. Give it a shot

I actually run a virus deck ... I use to also use that field card and similar cards that u used but I switched it up dramatically because things were just to inconsistent... the way I got it set up now is much better, maybe I should also upload a vid of it

Looks like a prototype version of my lair, 3 diabolos brick too much, best kaiju for lair is radian (search with ahrima), allure is tricky so use pot of extravagance, no terraforming, too much tribute traps and none is balista squad, lack of special summon and much more, but deserves a like for nostalgia.

There was an effect that u didn't use at all which is diablos second effect, with you can tribute your opponent field and Distrupt their hand

@Jodaking94 Thx you very much for watching my video 🙏. I think it's tough to face Drytron with this deck, especially if your enemy who uses Drytron starts on the first turn 🙁. To face Drytron, I think it needs add 2 or 3 Kaiju cards in this deck, CMIIW 🙏

@@yugiohnewbie6201 if you want I can send over my deck for LoD which is a lot more aggresive as your deck really seems to struggle with going first and it seems pretty bad going second due to you having a lot of bricks and all the virus cards being dead until you can setup. (side note tried to contact you though your about but there is no email so just say how and I can send it over)

Its a fun gimmick, but it need a clearer win condition. Just attacking is not good enough when youre constantly giving tokens to your opponent. I'd suggest a good normal summon (aleister mainly because of Purgatrio that can stomp over all the tokens). Also Crush Card Virus is super trash, letting your opponent mill monster from deck is *absolute garbage* because it only will ever benifit your opponent. Eradicator is pretty sweet though. Oh also think about Mind Crush as well, if you have some virus active that shows card from your opp, you can snipe em with mind crush.

@@yugiohnewbie6201 Also, if you wanna play the Aleister package, here is a tip: Because you play Lair of Darkness, all monsters become dark, so effectively you make summoning specific Invoked monsters a little harder. Normally you'd play 1 Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden and 1 Salamangreat Almiraj so you can get the other attribute on field (either light for Magistus or fire for almiraj) and would use the maiden/almiraj on field and then activate invocation, at which point if you have Lair up, the only card you could make is Invoked Caliga. Play 1 Salamngreat Almiraj and 1 Secure Gardna instead, so you always have the fire in the GY to use with Invocation.

you need to get rid of evenly, and lightning storm for super poly. you.can benefit heavy with 2 starving venom and one borreload furious. throw in the 3 dark predaplant if you want to

I play a much better lair deck. Call it my covid deck because it has cards like debunk, crackdown, side effects?, All the virus cards, brain control and enemy controller.
