On this episode of Abide Fishing, I went to Lake Badin in the Uwharrie National Forest to compete the the QCKBF Yadkin Yolo Event. This tournament was a dealer's choice between the four major lakes on the the Yadkin River Chain: High Rock Lake, Tuckertown Reservoir, Lake Badin, and Lake Tillery. After a highly unsuccessful day of pre-fishing on High Rock, I decided to roll the dice and try my luck on unfamiliar water...

Great video!!! Way to work your butt off trying to get your limit. I know it wasn't the day you wanted but just think, it almost got even crappier there at the end!!! LoL.

Thanks for posting this one. I live barely an hour north of Badin lake, but for some reason have never been there. High Rock lake is definitely a boat dock lake. I usually do well there casting under and around boat docks.

This particular part of Badin is definitely NOT a boat dock lake. If you're looking for a change of scenery, I'd absolutely check it out.

@@stuchumney - Nah. The guys in the Top 10 put up some huge limits. If I had landed those fish I might have made top 1/3rd.

Man look like it was a fun top day out there. I know the feeling of losing those ones that you lost. On Saturday i took my whole entire family & invited my wife coworkers & her family ( husband & 3 boys ) kayak fishing this weekend & it was a fun day but not a good day for me. My 6 son Paul he caught a 3lb bass while i struggling to get a 2 lb Bass. All the rest of my fish were smaller than that i was catching. & to make it worse I lost one of my flip-flops in the water so I had to go barefooted 👣 for the rest of the day & we had dinner plans for a sit-down restaurant. My wife made arrangements for us to sit outside since I was barefooted 👣 & had no other Footwear to wear. I tell you man it sucks having extremely wide feet man. The restaurant was cool they saw me Barefooted 👣and didn't say anything to me. But yesterday we had nothing to do and since Saturday was in the 80s & yesterday was 85 degrees we decide to go back out fishing again the same spot so I could try to retrieve my flip flop. It was no good luck for me. All my fishes were very small but they were biting & I did find my flip flop stuck in a tree that took about a half an hour to get out. I'm glad I went back cuz I would had to order me a new pair today which would have took a week to get to the house & I couldn't work that long being Barefooted 👣 my job would not allow me to do that. I need to make me a flip-flop leash for my kayak. Good video buddy thank you for sharing.

@@abidefishing when we were at the boat launch I was dragging my feet and everybody got on their kayaks and started floating down the river so I do want to get left behind & I took my flip-flops off and threw them in the back of the kayak instead of putting them in my milk crate so I wouldn't lose them. They were found like that for like 3-4 hours so I didn't think nothing of it someone had asked to get a beverage out of my cooler & my 300lb behind leaned over too far and my flip-flops fell out of the kayak & and by time I told somebody to grab my flip-flop that was in the water the current took it into some tree bushes that were laying down. We just had severe weather couple weeks ago so the tree had just recently fell down cuz the leaves were still green on the tree. That's how my flip flop Got into the trees because of the current otherwise my son would have caught it. It's not easy trying to find flip-flops for my foot. I just can't go into like Walmart and buy a pair of flip-flops because Walmart don't carry my size for 1. & 2. They don't have Footwear that is wide enough for my foot. I wish my foot was a size 13 & not extremely wide. My flip-flops that I have to buy cost me $60 to $65 for a pair. This is why I want to get my flip-flop out of the tree. Very very expensive flip-flops but it's the only size that fits me. I'm going to make a flip flop leash for my whole entire family so no one this summer will lose they flip flops.
