Spring/summer fishing on Lake Berryessa! We caught smallmouth bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, carp, crappie and bluegills! Those most of them weren't in front of the camera, we accomplished the Mega Slam

Big small mouths are always fun, throw in a carp or two, and it’s a great day. Cool little Whaler! Are you fishing a 7 weight? Cheers from Chicago

Definitely a great day on the water catching those feisty smallies! I was using a 7wt and my buddy with the Whaler was fishing an 8wt. If you like fishing lakes for bass, I high recommend the Airflo Sniper type 3 sink - it’s durable for flash and salt water abuse, no line memory and extremely easy to cast. Tight lines!

@@JonNg415 I primarily fish smallmouth in the Fox River (30 miles west of downtown, 8 miles west of my house) it’s shallow and floating line is the way to go. I’ll take your advice when we can up to the northern Wisconsin and Minnesota lakes. I looked at that Lake Berryessa on the map, it looks amazing.

@@kgilliagorilla2761 I bet switch/spey tactics would be fun on your river!
