Here, everything we say about the seas can also be applied to Lake Garda. The shores are high, up to 2,000 meters - the Alps have done their best. Some parts of the shores even resemble Norwegian fjords. Islands - there are many of them here and all are places of pilgrimage of tourists, and not only. On one of the islands - Isola del Garda - back in 1220 St. Francis of Assisi founded a monastery. Perhaps this monastery was visited by Romeo and Juliet. A battle, some decent one, among naval, excuse me, river warships - there was one between Italy and Austria in 1866. Cruises are also very popular here, the lake stretches from south to north, and there is where to go even a snow-white liner "about 3-4 decks" (no more, though, the lake, after all). There is more and more water tourism - yes, lots of it. On the whole shore of the lake scattered many small and larger resort towns. In that - a huge recreational park Gardaland, in that - Oceanarium (that's right, with the scale of the "ocean"), and there are also a lot of large water parks. Fishing is one of the first places here, so what can I say, the fish, and moreover, its own, native - one of the favorite dishes of all the frequenters of the lake. That's how it is, the lake-sea named "Garda". For those who dream of big things, but can also find their charms in small things. But they get so carried away that they forget about everything in the world.
