Lake Pulmankijärvi, the northernmost lake in Finland and the entire European Union, is located on the border of Finland and Norway, just below the village of Nuorgam in Finnish Lapland, home of the indigenous Sámi people. The natural surroundings of the lake, as well as its athmosphere, is unique. The south end of the lake is a good starting point for hikes in the Kaldoaivi wilderness area. Please remember to pay respect to the nature and the home of the indigenous Sámi people while visiting the area.
