The Lake Travis Cavaliers won their first boys state soccer title in school history Saturday night in Georgetown on a 4-3 advantage on penalty kicks against the Plano Wildcats. The match was scoreless going into PK's thanks in part to both goalies on the pitch. Lake Travis sophomore goalie Adam Schantz was the 6A State Tournament MVP with his impressive saves, including a pair in the penalty kick session. The Cavaliers celebrated in style as the wild finish allowed L.T. to release a little stress once the game ended. Schantz said it was a goalie's dream come true performance.
