Maple Valley City Council was honored to present, at their City Council meeting June 24, the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation with the “Citation of Merit - Community” awarded by the Washington Recreation and Park Association (WRPA) for their amazing work beautifying the Lake Wilderness Arboretum.
The Washington Recreation and Park Association (WRPA) presented the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation with the “Citation of Merit - Community” award at the WRPA Annual Awards Banquet in Vancouver, WA on May 23, 2024. The award honors an individual, group, or organization that contributes to the field of parks and recreation and helps the address a unique need.
“We are proud to partner with the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation and support the amazing work they’ve been doing in Maple Valley for the past 60+ years,” Dave Johnson, Parks & Recreation Director/Ass’t City Manager.
Washington Recreation and Park Association was established in 1947 and is a not-for-profit 501c3 professional and public interest organization comprised of over 3,000 members.
Maple Valley City Council thanks the Lake Wilderness Arboretum members for all of their contributions.
