The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 87-86. Colin Castleton was fantastic for the Lakers with 17 points (8-9 FG), 12 rebounds, and 6 assists as Blake Hinson added 14 points (5-13 FG). Bronny James totaled 12 points on 5-11 shooting for Lakers.
Robert Baker (17 points, 3 rebounds) and Jarkel Joiner (17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) led the Hawks in the loss.
The Lakers improve to 1-2 in the NBA 2K25 Summer League, while the Hawks fall to 0-3.

This is the most comfortable I've seen Bronny play so far, he looked good! Happy for him. People keep forgetting that this is all new for him, the league the pace of the game, how to play with his teammates, its all an adjustment. Nobody has ever gone to a new school or workplace and just fit in with no problems, you had to learn your way, learn how to get around the building and the same goes for Bronny, let that man figure it out first before you bash and clown him.

Facts. Check how he put english on the ball when #22 was reaching in near the foul line. Bronny put back spin on the ball so it would stay closer to his body so he could get through without getting stripped. Hi IQ basketball. The Lakers drafted Bronny because of his genetics. If Bronny gets his confidence up the game will get much easier for him. People don't understand that aspect of this. Genetics don't guarantee being pro level good but there's a great chance that Bronny can improve steadily and surprise some people.

And since he was consider like the 98th best prospect and he was picked 55th, there is that also. I don't expect him to be a superstar, but I expect better than 2 for 20 from three and being lost on defense, and standing around on offense, and not hustling in transition.

Bronny def has what it takes to be a good player, he has great athleticism and I think the drive to want to be great. He already looks decently solid on defense he just needs to do some work on his jump shot and to mature as a player, but he will be NBA ready soon, especially after tonight.
