I'm just finding this video today. My cousin took me in there when we visited last October. I love it. They're adorable. Each cottage is cuter than the next one.

a few years back I rented one of those homes!! It was lovely!! The blue one on the right at the first stop sign you came to. the pool was great! very quiet little neighborhood and so convenient. "The Blue Jay". but when I stayed there it wasn't named.

When we took our Lifestyle Visit in 2011 they put us up in a cottage at Lakeshore for a week. It's very nice quiet area, but yet you walk 3 minutes west and you're at Lake Sumter Landing Square. The homes are pricy because of the location. There is only 53 homes, none of them have a lot big enough for a pool, but there is a community pool and when I went, it was like a private pool with only 53 homes, I was the only one there. The home we stayed in was put on market in 2017 and sold for $600K. They quit putting lifestyle guests there when they built Alden Bungalows in 2016 next to Brownwood Square. Those are nice villas and more like the real lifestyle but the location is not very central but it's nearer the new home construction south of SR 44. However, they are now selling off Alden bungalows, so I don't know where the guests of the LSV will stay. There is only one home in Lakeshore Cottages at the moment for sale and it's listed for $799K. The lots are small, none have room for a pool or even a golf cart garage. They are very nice inside and have a great location.

Lakeshore Cottages go for a minimum of $600K-$700K. Homes with lake frontage are well over a million. There are bidding wars for those that do come on the market. Yes, rentals are available for long-term or short term, but are very pricey and need to be booked in advance. Great “cozy” neighborhood. Remember, you are in Downtown!

I always wondered about that neighborhood. So charming ... I see the Craftsman styling ... some of those places make me think of what you see in Key West.

I love these homes, feels more of what I'm used to here in the Pacific Northwest. They do seem incredibly close together. Great and fun tour as always! Thanks :)

Hi Part of the reason I like watching you is because Gizmo is so cute. I’ve had 3 Dachshunds and who were very special to me. Now I have 2 Chihuahuas that I hope you’ll meet someday at the dog park after we arrive in June!🐕

I LOVED seeing this neighborhood! Thank you for sharing it with us. BEAUTIFULLY COOL but out of my league. We are seriously wanting to retire to TV but have only visited once so far. Fell in LOVE!! We aren't sure what area we want to end up so traveling with you 2 is helping us to see more. Planning to return in the Fall for a week...maybe 2!

The houses look very nice but if you owned a pick up truck or large 4 door sedan it might stick out in the street when parked in the driveway on quite a few of those places. My 4 door Toyota Avalon, I doubt, would even fit. However, it does seem like a wonderful neighborhood. Thanks for the great video, we love watching your vlogs! Stay safe and keep them coming!

A friend bought one for $400 a few years back. There are many premiere homes that are way more expensive. This community was first built for visitors to come and experience village,life. They were sold completely furnished, including linens, dishes. Just bring your clothes and move in. There are many homes that sell for u dear $200....so,etching for everyone’s pocket book. Been a villager for 16 years and love everything about it.

Hello from sunny Pickens SC today! I enjoyed the tour. I would love to have a home on the water but not at that price. Me thinks I will just have to have my own lake constructed, lol. At least you are able to get out of your house and walk or ride around. I’m hoping that by the end of May things are going to start opening up again. So many people are in dire straits economically. This Pandemic I Hope has opened people’s eyes and minds to just how QUICKLY things can go completely off the rails. Having food and MONEY to live on for at least six months is a life saver. Y’all stay safe and happy. I’ll be checking in again soon.

Very lovely quaint area. I don't think I ever drove through there. Some of those homes were very large. I am sure they are out of our price range.

I can’t believe SOOO many people who have SOOO much money to be able to spend 600,00 AND be able to afford to pay the taxes and upkeep!! I’m a retired nurse and worked hard my whole life and certainly sit back and wonder what I did wrong that I couldn’t live in such luxury..( don’t get me wrong,,I’m comfortable BUT not even close to all these people).. I certainly think it must be wonderful to spend retirement in such luxury 🌷🌷👍🏼👍🏼

When we first moved here these were the rentals the Villages used for the Lifestyle rentals. My friend stayed in one while visiting.

The are like little victorian gingerbread cottages. Very cute! There was one in there a couple of years ago that was a rental, but the rental company went out of business because they were stealing the rental money (allegedly) from the owners.

Definitely a nice neighborhood in which to live. I would say a bit suspect in appreciation potential. Maybe that isn't a concern for the owners.

We live in Finney but would love to live there or anywhere near stores. Our Publix is no closer to being built than it was two years ago when we moved in.

What beautiful homes! Thanks for the tour. Florida must have looser restriction than we do in Michigan. We can only go out for purposes of groceries/medicine/doctors. Ordered a variety of facemasks (Etsy) and gloves yesterday. I think we will need to protect ourselves/others for a long time to come.

Right now in Indiana you can’t go into a grocery or anywhere in public without a mask. Homemade is OK.

Beautiful area of The Villages. Would not spend $600k and up for it, especially now that we are in a recession sliding into a depression, if more people lose their jobs. That kind of home, if in NY, would probably go fo $1.6M and up. Never the less, please wear a face mask and latex gloves. Florida has not hit it’s apex with Covid. Stay safe. ❤️
