Pastor Olsteen, God allowed this to happen to Lakewood because you were right for the calling. The enemy has tried to break you for years. But he gave you, your family, staff and congregation the wisdom and skill set needed to rise above this enemy attack and display grace and forgiveness. Your words, your tears....every word spoken today from everyone flowed from God. I met you once in Whole Foods in NYC (Columbus Circle). I will never forget how kind and humble you were. You could have acted like a 'rock star pastor' but you didn't. You keep doing what you do. God bless you and your family. This service today has touched and convicted me. I look forward one day to visit Lakewood.

When I was a kid maybe 6 or 7 somone came into our small church here in Navasota, Texas and pulled out a gun at the alter call and had the Pastor cornered..thankfully nothing happened but it shook up me and the rest of the people that were there...but Gods grace and mercy was there to protect me and the rest of the congregation...had it not been for his faithfulness where would I be today

Good morning pastor joel .. i am a pastor of a new church that was commission October last year ...i was preparing for Sunday service on Saturday evening and i kept seeing the face of pastor joel but i thought the Lord wanted me to start listening to his messages , that is the reason i decided to search for joel messages and i just came across this news.. By the Grace, Mercy and by God' right hand, He stopped evil in its' track. God already had everyone in place before that evil arrived at the church location. He is AMAZING. I am so thankful, Pastor Joel, to see you and your congregation together this Sunday, praising God for His goodness and mercy.... The devil wants to put fear in us, but God didn't give His children fear, He gave us power, and the blood of JESUS to cast out any serpent, demons, evil spirits, with the word of Jesus. My father started watching this church after the shooting alot more. He said he must be doing something right for the enemy (demon possessed) to attack this church and it was not a MASS shooting. I started watching and was spiritually attacked (still am at times). But watching this church grow and preach life and healing I am a daily watcher now. That incident was a miracle that no one got hurt. Prayers for that shooters family and child. Please pray for my father as he is going through stage four colon cancer and bible studies on top of going to our local church and watching this church has brought our family closer together more than ever but this chemo is wearing him down badly. He is the greatest man I know and his relationship with God along with my mother's have never been shaken.

i have watched this twice already and it’s still so emotional 🥹 I thank God for Pastor Joel, he and the congregation and community leaders have stepped up when the threat came to Lakewood. yes, as he said, it could’ve been a “mass” shooting, but God said NO! not on His watch!! thank you Lord for doing only what you can do and that is to protect your children! I can’t wait to get back to Lakewood for a visit and to ultimately make this my new home. thanking you in advance Lord God, keep us all safe and remind us that we will not fear, but know that we are protected, humbly spoken and in Jesus name, i say Amen Amen and Amen ❤️

🙏🙏🙏 thank you God for these dedicated people and pastor!! A guy who had his amazing dad as his teacher !!! For the idiot critics…. He holds up the Bible at the start of each sermon and everyone says this is my Bible I have what it says I have I am what it says I am I can do what it says I can today I will be taught the word of God I boldly declare my heart is receptive my mind is alert I will never be the same in Jesus name !! Amen. He quotes verses and what people in the Bible went through and encourages us to believe how God sees us and how he wants us to think!!!!! He always says in closing to find a local Bible based church and support it!!! Never does he say pray and you will get a new Mercedes!!! Or money will fall from the sky…. Gods mindset isn’t our own. It’s easy to get beat up by life and the land mines of living…. His job isn’t to bash its to get people to live Gods best !!!!! Let the Holy Spirit change somebody. Versus Him making someone feel doomed !!!

Hear my prayers Father. I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children and I feel so alone. At times I want to give up but I know Jesus will carry me.

This was truly horrific and a miracle that no one got hurt. My heart goes out for that poor child. I remember watching that body cam and CCTV footage. It was heartbreaking when that child was scared and wanted their mother to stop shooting and be picked up. Truly sad.

I just prayed earlier today for GOD TO HAVE HIS WAY WITH OUR LEADERS AND POLITICIANS. Praise the Lord!!! God answers prayers. It's such a coincidence that I reminded my daughter this morning about this bible verse. Psalms 23 happens to be one of my favourite bible verse of all. Every time I feel fear of something, I remind myself of this, though I walk in the valley of the shadows of death, I will not fear for thou art with me Lord, thy rod and staff they comfort me. I do believe God protect his people, sometimes bad times are a way of God showing us his favour on our lives, so that everyone will know his favour is with his chosen ones. ❤
