If you haven't come across this wonderful community before, I hope this video offers you some great insight as to what Lakewood Ranch has to offer, as well as how it will no doubt continue to grow as one of the hottest places to live in the nation. No matter your age, you will find something here for you. This community has it all and more. Located close to some of the very best beaches in Florida (Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, Longboat Key), easy access to Tampa & Sarasota, UTC Mall on your doorstep, A rated schools, hundreds of miles of walking trails, excellent variety of shops and restuarants nearby. This community has it all and more.
This video is to give you a basic overview of the community and area, and offers my advice of where to go to gain the most from your time here at Lakewood Ranch, without wasting time visiting areas that may not appeal to you.

We live in The Esplanade in Artisan Lakes just off of Moccasin Wallow Road in Palmetto (not the one in Lakewood Ranch) and people are saying our area is geared up to be the next Lakewood Ranch. I would be interested in your thoughts. We aren’t far from Lakewood Ranch and are often there for shopping, doctor appointments, dinning, etc.

Hi Jackie, what makes LWR so unique is it's sheer size. It's hard to find many communities that compete on it's scale, as it's 48 square miles which is huge and it's still probably 10-15 years from being the finished article. Still a long way to go. It also has 20+ different builders where as I know Artisan Lakes is all under the Taylor Morrison umbrella. Have personally worked with TM many times before and have had great experience with them, LWR just offers a wider variety of floor plans and communities. Esplanade in Artisan Lakes is gorgeous though and in a great location. You picked a good one for sure!

Are there any villages with single family homes that would be within walking distance (up to a 15-25 minute walk) to the Main Street area, or the new Waterview downtown? The water taxi is cool.

Hi Zaitun, prices will range from $300k - $2m+ and the HOA fee will differ pretty significantly as well, depending on whether the community is maintenance free or has a lot of amenities. So, it's not an easy topic to cover as there are a wide array of new construction options. If you let me know your price range I'll gladly email over your best options, however. Thank you.
