Watching the game at a bar down the street from Staples. Jumping like kids with my friends when Alec scored. Running down the street to join the mosh pit in front of the stadium. Celebrating with good friends. Priceless memories.

I sat in the same spot for 4-5 hours however long that game was and held all my emotions in until that goal was scored. When that puck hit off the pad and I saw Martinez standing there I just knew that this was it here comes the winner and when that puck hit the net I jumped off my couch almost hitting the ceiling and running around my basement screaming "We won the cup we won the cup." I'll never forget that game.

I myself as a LOYAL Kings fan since 1975, and also a former season ticket holder from 1977-87 before moving here to Port Townsend, Washington in 1987 (my parents started the Old Consulate Inn and the legacy they would leave) before I lost my mother to brain cancer in 2000 and will soon lose my father to prostate cancer, I think of how they would react if they were watching our 2 Stanley Cup Championships, I know ONE THING, they would both be proud of it, we waited 37 YEARS to win our first and only had to wait 2 years later to win our second, I was watching (and recorded onto 2 DVD-R discs on my DVD recorder) along with my Love Of My Life since 1989, Alice Yantz, and when Alec Martinez scored that OT and Cup winning goal my house went absolutely apeshit, I was yelling "THEY DID IT!!! THEY DID IT!!! THEY DID IT!!! THEY DID IT!!! THEY DID IT!!!......." over and over again at the top of my lungs, I thought somebody was gonna file a domestic disturbance report and call the cops on us, it was that loud here at home!!! #ThankYouAlec for not one but TWO of the greatest goals in our history, OT series-clinching goals in the the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals. Let me just introduce myself if I haven't already......and..... GO KINGS GO!!! Yeah, I got that same feeling when he took off. You just knew this is gonna be it. The layout of the play, the spacing of players, the rush, it all just screamed "the goal is coming" and there is nothing you (Lundquist) or anybody else can do about it. You just feel it. Anybody who ever played the game must have felt it. Simple, perfectly executed rush.

@@Phased_Array I myself have been a Kings fan since 1975 so I hear you loud and clear, this even outshadows Daryl Evans' OT winner in 1982 (April 10th) against the Oilers in Game 3 of the Smythe Division semifinals at The Fabulous Forum. jeeze like 8 year old me probably almost tackled my dad and just hugged him we had watched every game and to finally see that goal get scored was just so great. literally cried tears of joy best momment of my life. GKG

I have to credit this game for getting me into hockey... I watched it simply bc I gotta support my cities LA Kings, and Jesus this was probably one of the best games I have seen in my life. this video is exquisitely made, chills. Chills everywhere.

+gentlemenrule Good to hear, man. But the series before this against the Blackhawks was the Stanley Cup championship in many people's opinion. Kings practically swept the Rangers going to only game 5; the series against the Hawls to Game 7 in overtime -- an instant classic. Go KINGS Go!

Fox said that the best games he ever experienced was the Kings vs Montreal series in '93. I did not see one single game because of my job assignment but saw some clips lately and it was brutal. But this particular championship run is by far the most difficult, excruciating and torturous SC run I have ever seen. So much suspense, so many times it could go either way, and the fabulous reverse sweep of a clear favorite up to that point, Sharks. Their collaps was not self-inflicted, Kings simply played so good that Sharks were neutralized. Phenomenal hockey, phenomenal team. To the last man

*This was the first Cup I ever saw!* 😄 I started watching hockey that season too! (Of all times to start watching! Lol) I got bored one day, and started watching the Winter Olympics. I checked out hockey, and thought it was _totally awesome!!!_ 😁 I went to a Kings game in ‘03 with my cousin, so I told myself after the Olympics were over “I’m gonna be a Kings fan!” 😉 *I’ve been married for 7 years, and my hubby’s a Kings fan too now! 😏 I LOVE MY HUBBY!!! AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR HIS FIRST CUP!!!* 🥰😘❤️❤️❤️

Sitting in my living room with my parents. My dad and I were so into the game, we barely noticed our cat walk into the room. When Marty put that puck in, I jumped up screaming. I ran over to my dad and gave him the biggest hug I ever have as our cat runs away scared shitless. Watching the footage of that last goal brings a smile to my face every time, even 4 years later. Go Kings Go!

Alec's goal though was sooooooo pretty!!!! Has there ever been an OT SC winning goal more beautiful. Saw Orr's and Kane's, but this one was a masterpiece.

+Chip Griffiths You've got that right. It somehow puts the cherry on the cake when you think about all those comebacks they had to go through to win it all. I will never tire of seeing this (or any other goal on their journey) goal until the day I die. And for me, Williams will be forever the King, no matter what jersey he has to wear now or in the future. He is one hell of a player

PUT THIS SERIES ON DVD and BLU-RAY after all 13 episodes have run!!! I will be more than glad to shell out the necessary $$$ and support the Kings Care Foundation to get it just like the one back in 2012, and I'm sure that all the other fans here in Kings Nation (around the world) will do the same as well!!!

I remember being at work and wanting to just catch a glimpse of the game so I walked to the bar and literally right when I got there amart, Toff and cliffy where rushing down the ice, the bars reaction was so awesome. It was a good experience even though I couldn't catch the full game. Let's repeat!

This is probably one of the best Stanley Cup Finals game I ever watched over the last 10 years. To win the Cup in OT is one of the best feelings in the world.

Yeah, he wouldn’t get off the ice for a while, then he stared at the ceiling, and when some teammates came over to help him, you could see him wave them off.. Poor guy… But, #GoKingsGo 😆❤️

Seeing these videos, regardless of the team is emotional. The feeling of seeing your team win is overwhelming and for me to see the players, the management and the fans celebrate brings tears of joy to my eyes. My team is the Detroit Red Wings BTW.

I knew at Game 4 we were going to win it because even at their best of the series, the Kings only missed a few shots by mere inches. At first I thought it'd be like 2012 and go to 6 but thankfully I was wrong and we won in 5! I remember seeing the last goal and jumping up and down seemingly sideways, then sliding in front of the TV set and crying tears of joy. What a year! We'll get another one in 2018!!!

- I've watched a lot of Stanley Cup-winning goals the last 25 years or so...I STILL say this one, Alec Martinez's, was the best one; I remember Uwe Krupp scoring for the Avs in 3OT in '96, I remember Brett Hull's OT goal for the '99 Dallas Stars...probably because I was up half the night watching until they happened...but Martinez's goal takes the cake. Happened on home ice( I ALWAYS dig it when teams clinch the Cup in front of their home fans :) ), double OT, longest game played in Kings history...& it's a Stanley Cup-clincher of course. :) And it happened so fast! 2014 LA Kings playoff run was one for the ages, perhaps it seemed fitting that the capper to their epic Cup run that year was a double-OT goal to clinch their 2nd Cup in 3 seasons on home ice....how sweet it was! :)

I wish I had been able to watch this live. My buddies and I had reservations for an overnight fishing trip for a friend's bachelor party. All the gear had been loaded and the boat had left the dock. We were all listening on a stream from a cell phone hoping it would end before we lost reception out on the ocean. Fortunately we were able to hear the call and the entire boat erupted in cheers, and we could hear cheers from a nearby boat that was heading out at the same time. Watching this is giving me goosebumps.

We all know what happened since then. Once Slava fucked up, it all snowballed. The team collapsed. If THAT didn't happen, I am very sure Kings would most likely win the 3rd one. They were just that good. What a team....

I saWell I met someone at somewhere that I had to pay an obscene price to be taught something. We didn't really talk until the last day bust we'd have some conversations across the room.
