It's the same issues in love marriage. Families won't accept it unless both of you are adamant or elope away. Intercaste/inter religion or even interstate marriages are frowned upon to this day. This is prevalent in indians living abroad as well.

Probably when you will become a father of young daughter then you might also ask this opposite person. The phycology behind this is because arrange marriage me mostly aap saamne waale ke personality ko thik se nhi jaan paate and hence kuch parameters pe hi decision le lete he. For eg, Boy's parent will definitely look for a good looking girl, mostly younger than him, Non working who can do household or working but again at the same time household work +salary should not be shared with her parent and Vise versa then girl's parent will expect a boy with a stable job, some looks for the property and the family background in view that ki unke daughter ko comfort mile

@@abc0583 idk, once it was tough to get government jobs since you had to get through tough exams and there weren't enough private firms to work for. Also, government jobs have job security and it's pretty rare to see government employees to get laid off as masses. All in all, people have been living in the 80s even in modern days.

whats wrong in this? they prefer stability over money. Even if they prefered money its still personal choice. Overall they had realistic point of view. Many women are unable to work after having a child or have to take a long brake which negatively effects their career. Its extremely difficult to go back to work at same level as u used to do before having a child. So them preferring a stable job is rational decision

Lakshya you choose correct topic but still it is very natural whatever response you get. 1. Most of parents of current generation are not aware about freelancing job, 2. 2nd thing if boy is not mentioning about family or telling that his family disowned him so obviously it gives negative impact. 3. You told them about acting career which is most uncertain career and normal people have negative image about person from acting background and even about character and habits of industry people. 4. Even the earning you mentioned in profile give reason to doubt about genuineness of profile. 5. As you say if the families might have so forwarded then they wouldn't have searching groom for arrange marriage. So though we are forwarded indian family but you don't compare this forwardness with European counties. And i find the responses you get very normal.
