Popular Telugu actress and daughter of legendary Mohan Babu, Lakshmi Manchu speaks about how she pushed herself towards films, despite opposition from her famous family. She cited examples of Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna's family members facing opposition because the women in their families ventured into films.
She spoke about her marriage and her daughter and reveals how her daughter is a mini version of hers. She also spoke about how much closer she is to her stepmom and why she doesn't miss her biological mom anymore.
She revealed that she has a Whatsapp group with major Telugu stars like Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and what is the purpose of that group. She also spoke about her bond with Prabhas and how excited she is for Kalki 2898 AD.
She also opens up on why she didn't like Allu Arjun's Pushpa, despite it being a superhit.

Let me say something, this is lakshmi manchu's one more interview demonstrating her hypocrisy. She said about objectifying women, her father and brothers have been doing a magnified version of objectification of women all their life. There is a movie called 'adipathi' in which her father talks so cringey, and she is speaking about another hero demonstrating her sanctimony. Nevertheless being a woman she also played one or two characters in her handful of movies where she was objectified, the funny thing is she produced it, so she was in a capacity to avoid such scenes but she didn't do it. This family is known for their pretentious nature, hypocrisy, pompous, and so on, due to which the whole family gathered hatred, became a part of memes. Both Telugu states stopped taking them seriously especially lakshmi manchu.

Pedda Rayudu(1995) was Mohan Babu's last significant hit. His sons failed to make an impact in films, so did his daughter. I saw Lakshmi Manchu in Hyderabad a few years ago. She's exceptionally tall(180 cms - 5'11") and has a terrific physical presence... Obviously, she had had few takers in Telugu.

@@bharatmahaan2991 To my view she is just another mediocre or less than mediocre actress, who prefers to flaunt her accent than her acting skills through her characters. If she has any intent, she could've perfected it but she didn't. Adivi Sesh who was born & brought up in the USA corrected his accent, and she lived there less than 10 years. With no offense meant to you, considering your opinion she may have a good physical presence, but her presence as an actress was never impactful and indeed the presence spoiled some films like Tharun Bhaskar's Pitta Kathalu.

He's a senior Telugu actor(he's worked in more than 500 movies)/director/producer/writer/owner of educational institutions and an ex-MP(Rajya Sabha - nominated by the Telugu Desam Party). The actual problem with Telugu film industry is heavy nepotism and objectifying women/or treating them as just extra. You'd not even see a single major superstar from there who is not from a single political or film family. Almost three generations have come but almost all actors are nepo kids. But if we say something as non-Telugu people, it could be counted as "they don't like us", "they dislike our culture" And the toxic fans support them like crazy. The only good PR they do is good public image of kind and down to earth actors. But nobody would dare to speak on them.
