this just shows you how much they care about each other so much that they would even beat her to a bloody pulp if it meant saving there stubborn friend from going into a fight they know she can't win and would die very easily she's one of those determined anime characters that no matter how much you trie to convince them that they can't beat the villains they would rather keep fighting than give.

Still a shitty thing to do regardless and the kind of shit how villains are created in the first place. Like i don't think it's remotely possible to trust ANYONE let alone mentally recover after this stunt so if Lakyus disbands the party and then later becomes evil who just doesn't trust anyone but herself.Well the faults goes fully straight to the blue rose. Lakyus chosen a brave option.Was it stupid and suicidal ? yes but if someone disrespect and doesn't bother to honor that decision and instead pulls this stunt just cus they "care" ain't gonna fix crap.

@@jaysanj152 for them, it would just be a problem they'd deal if it does happen. If Lakyus leaves the group, then I'm pretty sure they'll respect that. *As long as their friend is safe.* Now, if it happens that after Lakyus leaves the group she decides to fight the Sorcerous Kingdom by herself again, they'll try to stop her again. During this time, they'd probably fail since she would be fully equipped. Another possibility is they kill her or she kills her team. All of this are just my theory. There's nothing certain on my words, since this is the last time they are mentioned in the novel. And I do get your point by the way. Still, if I were in Evileye's or any of the Blue Rose members' shoes, I would do the same to save my dear friend. If that's the only way. Even if she ends up resenting me at the end.

For those who wanted context why they had to resort of beating her down, it's because Lakyus is built like a tank. A simple Charm Person spell wouldn't cut it because she has a high magic resistance being a Cleric and Templar class, basically an Anti-Mage type. They had to wittle down her defenses and catch her with her armor on to be able to take her away from E-Rantel. Because if Lakyus was well-equipped, she could have taken all of them down. Not to mention she has one of the swords once used by the 13 Heroes.

@@clab232 Evileye is the weakest of the 13 Heroes. And you see how Lakyus easily resisted Evileye's Charm Person without her armor. Imagine how powerful she is when she has her armor on. Like I said, Lakyus is an Anti-Mage build.

Lakyus is not in the realm of heroes, meaning she is not above level 30. Evileye is level 50, there was no way she would take her down. The only thing she has in her arsenal thats above her level is that sword.

I don't know what you're argument Lakyus being on par with the 13 heroes, don't come too soon there, bud read my comment again. She could have taken them IF (big IF read for godsakes) she's fully-equipped. Hence her beatdown to make her drop her guard. Level diff or not, Lakyus is not someone to be underestimated.

It absolutely did not backfire. If Lakyus went ahead with her plan to fight in the capital, Cocytus would mow her down very very easily. She would last 5 minutes tops give or take. Her friends made the right call. More than I can say for the King and his lackwit followers.

This could be a great plot point. Yes her friend did this to save her from a unwindable suicide mission. But they poisoned her, beat her bloody, resorted to brainwashing, and kidnapping. Leaving countless people to die. Completely betraying her trust and friendship she had in them. And going agents her wishes. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she wanted nothing to do with them afterwards and completely disbanded the blue Roses. Shame we’ll never see the fallout of this act because the Blue roses are not seen again after this little backstabbing.! 🤬

It wasn't just saving her life but its that they cared for her as a friend. Still, that reasoning would just smooth things only a little bit. Imagine the last memory you have after waking up is getting beat up in a slow and painful way by your friends and the princess is just watching. She definitely needs restraints lol.

A few things 1... Renner isn't even surprised so pretty sure she saw it coming..... 2....Besides the obvious betrayal...of Lakyus...there is also the fact that Blueroses left Renner and Climb to die... 3. When we met Blue roses for the first time it's though Renner having said that they are very good friends..... So it seems like Lakyus would be mad at her team not only for their betrayal and sad for her destroyed homeland but also on a more personal level because she was forced to abandon her friend to their fate ( unwillingly).... In one of the novels when every one telling climb he's "capped at gold" EvilEye even tells climb he sucks but not to give up his humanity for power but he does anyway though not by choice... Knowing what we know at the end of the season to me it seems like a setup for Climb and Renner to fight against Blue roses at some point... Though the novels are so close to the end so it's kinda unlikely we'll see blueroses take center stage again..unless some kinda sidestory... I'd even take a page or 2 explanation/ battle ... just to see what happens... or even if it's just a passing comment...on what happened to them...

Lakyus was willing to stay and fight while the others were aware that they would lose. So they were gonna get out of dodge and were not gonna leave her behind to die. So they resorted to this cause she is a stubborn one.

Blue roses knew damn well the sorcerer kingdom would curb stomp them. Lakyus was driven by duty and her love for her country to stay and fight. The others wanted to escape and plan their next move. So if your boss isn't willing, you have to make her willing.

Did they at least tell her how they felt first ? Even tho she would not be persuaded she should have first been consulted. Then they could have resorted to such a method as a last ditch effort. That's what real friends do. What they did here is a breach of trust and simply not moral.

@@kaneddy3098 You're completely abusing the word suicide here. They should have tried to talk it out first as I said. Besides a permanent trust issue is far worse here. She trusted them and they took that and put her in a situation where they could kill her. Also they withheld things from her. It's never good in a circle of friends. That's why they're not real friends. How would you feel if you were the only one who didn't know about something while all your friends did ? Even if it was for your good you would not be happy. What if your best friend's mother died, and everyone but you knew about it and attended the funeral , and when you find out and confront them why they told everyone but you, they said they thought your work schedule was too important and they decided not to tell you. See? You would not be happy at all

The difference here is that everyone already knows, including her, that this was certain death and then possible desecration of her body afterwards to a necromancer, and then her armaments being claimed by said death, and being advised to escape with every opportunity making it clear escape would be better.

I'm sure they're prepared for at least that much retaliation. They only took things to this extreme because they knew there was no other way to stop Lakyus considering how strong she is, and that she'd otherwise die along with her country while achieving absolutely nothing.

Not when the war is literally lost from the start. The group knows it’s suicide to even attempt to resist Ainz at that point. Especially evileye who is as equally powerful as Lakyus when she uses her actual power.

@@penguinexpert6581 Considering what happened when they refused to go and assist the Holy Kingdom, she would have to understand that the same logic has to apply in this same situation. Of course it's easy to say that when looking at the situation on paper and then applying it to something that affects you personally, but at the end of the day, it's still the same. Both were situations where they would have pointlessly died.
