I keep harping on this because I know all these girls are incredibly strong. But Lala is at another level with her body difficulties. The stability she can achieve in these positions is absolutely uncanny. She holds these body difficulties better than anyone I’ve seen. She is incredible. I think her apparatus handling remains a little imprecise at times and that’s where you really see a difference between her and Arisha and Dina, who I think achieve an ideal balance with superior apparatus handling and great body difficulty. But Lala shows how freaking deep team Russia is. She is in her first year of seniors and yet could absolutely go to the Olympics and win.

Honestly to me, even though I'd like her to develop some maturity and expression in her work she's simply technically one of the best if not the best in term of body difficulties. Her leaps look gorgeous, the shape of her pivots nice (sometimes the hip looks open in penche though) and she works really well with her apparatus, she's an option for Tokyo 2020
