Lalaport BBCC Kuala Lumpur

Lalaport BBCC Kuala Lumpur is opening on 20 January 2022 and will be the first Japanese themed Lifestyle Mall in Malaysia. It currently occupies the former Pudu Jail area which is now known as Bukit Bintang City Centre or BBCC.
This amazing lifestyle mall will add on to the shopping profile of the Golden Triangle of KL and will attract a lot of people for their unique tenants, which include many first time Japanese brands like NITORI, Nojima, Coo&Riku and Matcha Eight.
LaLaport BBCC KL is also the first mall from Mitsui Fudosan to be opened in Southeast Asia and here in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. There are a total of five floors with 400 retail and F&B stores that will occupy the space here, which many will open gradually from now till Q3 of 2022.
If you have not experienced a Japanese-themed lifestyle mall, then head over to LaLaport BBCC in Kuala Lumpur when you are free to see the amazing place.
I visited Lalaport BBCC on 17th January under a special media preview of this place before officially opening to the public.

TQ for the video. The ambience of the place is transformed drastically, from negativity to positivity. As a child growing up in the 60s near Pudu Jail, I can only have sad memories of the present site. Now and then, sirens would go off when prisoners escaped. For all those who were put behind bars, I am sure there were some who were innocent of some crime - the tragedy of those who were hanged for crimes they did not commit. And many languished in their cells till they passed away. But it is all in the past. R.I.P. to all the souls who died in Pudu Jail. Now there is a positive vibe to the place. I hope a plaque would be erected in front of Lalaport to commemorate the historical significance of the place in Kuala Lumpur's history.

Yah, me too, cause the real Japanese products quality is bagus. Better than Daiso. :) But must go and see there la.

I have been to this mall many times - i dont understand how empty ot always seems. Walked around for at least 3 hours today and passed maybe 20 people ..lol.

The grand opening seen like a less funfair I would expected except for a handful of media, photographers or youtubers, mall employees and of course the drums beats of the lions dance..Hopefull the mall will bring in the business and lifestyle as it claimed from its architecture selling point. Even from its not so well designed and digested complex mall from ground floor's entrance to the roof garden.

Since it’s all Japanese theme, Wonder if Kinukuniya will have it’s second store there...Takashimaya should open one there.

Actually, a lot of the other Japanese retailers like Isetan, will not be opening here. They follow a special code of business, if two same outlets are in the same vicinity, they do not open up another. Isetan is at Lot 10, within a 1.5KM distance. Kino is like 2.5KM away... so I am not 100% sure about this. But Isetan confirm will not take up space here.

Dh gi byk yg nt open yet...but ase pun those yg suka ala ala japenese theme n food ke...blhl jenguk me n friends just window shop je.harap maklum..

Iya, banyak tak buka. Today, only total 80 outlets open, but over next few months, banyak lagi akan buka. I was told by July or August, will have about 80-90% shops open here.

It is a paradise place for women to spend their husband's money !! Distraction , buying things one does not need , over eat to keep SLIM because there are gym Hall next door , don' t look for jobs help your parents to finish their savings . rewarding the one time Japanese aggressors & rapists a paradise in Malaysia where the land does not shake all year round . Lalaport Halal ??? Is there shinto temple ?? Rich people have no national borders , whisk the money to make everyone blink blink !! Happy shopping !!!
