100%, they know when to sit back and let it develop or let the person explain it on their own. You saw it wit CWebb, you saw it with Iverson, and you see it here. Sure sometimes Stak doesn't hit the right follow up question during regular topics, but on these they allow the moment to develop, and it's refreshing to see. I'm happy it was these two who decided to go this path, because there's no judgement, everyone knows who they are and what their individual history is, it allows the guests to be comfortable ON CAMERA and be willing to say shit without judgement and explain it from their perspective. Has to be the right type of player, with the right background, and had to have the right type of profile in the league as well. A superstar can't be out here on a podcast like this, neither can an average role player, these guys have that perfect mix of experience/stardom/role/background to make this work.

Lamar was misunderstood for so many years, but I’m glad he found himself and stayed away from the devil that was killing him inside. He’s a true warrior of life. All the obstacles thrown at him was no accident either, God made him tougher and changed his life for the better despite all the trauma that was caused in the process. This is the best episode in my opinion. It's one of the best sports interviews I've ever seen. I didn't want it to end. Lamar has dealt with so much pain that he processes it much differently than most of us because even if you grew up in the hood MOST of us don't have a story of trial and tribulation like his, not even close. He's also an incredible storyteller and I can see why he was so beloved in the NBA.

Damn dog, 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks. People don't survive one of them or come back like LO did. Look at him. Walking, talking, all of it. He is truly blessed to have survived that. This intereview just felt heavy too. It was so serious compared to a lot of the other All The Smoke interviews I've seen. Barnes and Stack did a great job of letting it flow naturally and letting LO get his thoughts out. Much respect. One of the best podcasts out. Y'all need to get Rasheed Wallace out here and talk about the Jail Blazers. I was a youngin in Portland and remember seeing them come to the mall and it being packed like some superstar shit.

Lamar was SUPER nice. Growing up and seeing him ranked No. 1 with Tim Thomas & Tracy Mcgrady. That whole “He Got Game” era was amazing. Being a fellow left-hander, Lamar had that butter jumper along with a SMOOTH game. All at 6’10. Just wish he had that Kobe drive- Then he REALLY wouldve been in that all-time greats Hall of Fame conversation.
