**I said I fell in love with low output “single coil” pickups. That’s NOT what I meant. I meant low output “humbucker” pickups. Sorry about that!** **Kurtis has since named these the Red Eye ☕** These pickups, to me, are perfect for those who like the Grinder but want just a little more push without sacrificing clarity. I'd love to see them as an official part of the Lambertones product line. If you agree, petition Kurtis by shooting him a message or commenting on one of his social media accounts. Let's get him to release these bad boys!

Really nice that there is not any brittleness to the top end that you can get with lower output pickups

Thanks so much for the demo. I love these! I’ve used HSS Grinder for a while and I’d quickly install these in other guitar. You’re playing is phenomenal! I loved the tone around 10:45. I also always appreciate your gospel presentations. SDG!

Would love these to get released. Just ordered some low wind imperials for a Suhr because I wanted that extra push over the grinder, but would probably have gotten these if they existed!

GFHG Member here: First off thank you for all your resources! You make my workflow so much easier preparing for most Sundays! So thanks for that. Secondly, I got a project Telecaster I’m gonna gut and put HH in it. I want it to be able to do the “worship thing” (which these P/Us 100% do) but I was also hoping it could clean up nicely since I do a country cover thing on Saturdays. I know you’ve been on a bit of a country kick lately so curious what your thoughts were on it handling both?

Thanks for sharing this Troy! Love that they r coming out with some new stuff. Is there a way to hear the pickups through some amps and without all the wet effects? Would really like to hear the pickups for what they are without all the extra stuff. If not, not a problem. Thanks again! Edit: Also some back to back comparisons between what they currently have would be awesome as well to be able to hear a difference! Thanks for the consideration!

Hey there! I like to focus on tones with all the wet effects. Hopefully some other folks will put some stuff out there that’s more dry to help individuals like you who want to hear that as well. 😃 A more in depth video is not something I have time for at the moment. Curious if you had this guitar built or was it a partscaster? I checked with MJT a few years back and weren't putting dual HB in Jazzmaster bodies. Thank you for the videos!

I bought the body and neck and had a friend help me route the body to accommodate humbuckers.

Troy, are you using Tonex at all live yet? I've switched recently from hx stomp and am seeing tonex being used by the "big boys" that used to use kemper. Just curious. I'll reach out to Curtis, those pickups sounds great!!

Yeah! I’ve used the Tonex live 4-5 times now. I rotate it in quite a bit.

@@Tone4sunday Good stuff. The guys on my worship team that know tone like the Tonex rig better than anything else I use, with the UA stuff being a close second. They say it has more body, but not in a dark way.

@GuitarforHISGlory have you done a video on tonex yet? I know there's a ton out there, but I prefer my pedalboard with tonex (because I like my old skool board). Check out the WT morgan ac20, best vox style tones I've ever heard

Do you leave all the pole screws set flat and level as they come out of the box, or do you raise each one to match the radius of your fretboard so the distances from each screw to each string above it is consistent?

Hello there. I’ve never touched the pole pieces. I’m not suggesting you don’t need to, but I’ve never been that concerned with minute adjustments.

If you have heard Suhr SSV, how would they compare to those? I was assuming Thornbuckers are a bit similar to Cremas and SSVs are more similar to Grinders. At least output wise. Anyone would have a guess comparing to Suhr pickups?

Thornbuckers are more similar to Grinders, Suhr doesn't really have anything like Cremas. SSV's are nice, but don't really do the Lambertones thing.

@@john808welk alright. I suppose Grinders are still low output. I have heard people comparing Cremas and Thornbuckers as low output ones, well those two are very popular pickups. SSVs still work for me, especially when I don’t need glass-transparent sound. Lambertones are glassy for me, but the prototype exactly maybe has less of that. Suhr S90s probably best all-roundeds for me, somewhere between Cremas and SSVs.

@@romanukas Yeah, I've been thinking about changing out my SSV's to some lambertones, but I went with Lollar low winds instead to keep that typical humbucker sound.
