Part 1 of our McLaren MP4-12C upgrade project with Fabspeed. In this video we do some baseline testing with the VBOX as well as visit the Dyno to measure how much horsepower the stock MP4-12C is making.
We then have some awesome races with latest and greatest from Lamborghini with the Huracan Performante taking on the all stock MP4-12C.

I'd like to see any Ferrari dating back from the time of the McLaren MP4-12C do that against a Lamborghini Huracan. Ferrari supercars are OVERRATED!

j n21t4 not sure about a roll race but I saw a dragrace between the performante and an 800 hp modified f12 and the performante won by a lot

Erblin Beqa Yeah, standing. And that surface was really bad. Both the Huracán Performante and F12berlinetta are naturally aspirated but the Ferrari makes more power and torque. I think it revs higher too, not too sure about that. It also has less downforce and a better power to weight ratio than the Performante.

I'm assuming its going to gain around 70-80whp on ecu tune + downpipe, like most basic stage 2 setups, with ethanol probably 120-140whp gain

Tried to set that up, the Ferrari owner back out at the last minute claiming that 'Ferrari would be mad at them if they race' Go figure. Will keep on looking for one.

It will be a lot closer than you guys think. The Ferrari has 789hp, revs to 8,500 rpm and is only 533 lbs heavier. In a roll I genuinely think they'll be pretty much even or the McLaren will be ahead by a fender, no more. It's a race that must happen DragTimes

Well the aerodynamics of the Performante are useful for the track but not so much for straight line drag racing, where too much downforce is making the car slower.

Remember that mclaren underrated their cars... and that the 12c is turbocharged.

zaphod2 the MP has a Turbo Charger and the Lambo because of Aerodynamics produce Downforce wich also braking a litle bit.But on the Track is the Lambo performante clearlly the fastest in his Class

Brooks yes the Performante was designed to set faster lap times than the stock Huracan but McLaren's, esp the 675LT and the 720S were also designed to go very fast around race tracks as well and given their quicker acceleration over the Performante lap times are very close. The bottom line is that turbos have a distinct advantage over a N/A engine...

Александър Марков that's because there was a camera in between the exhaust pipes on the Lambo and the mclaren didn't. You can see this on the two races from a stop.

Im suprised that it beat the performante and not at the same time.Yea its a performante but those mp412c have so much power to weight no matter how old thel always be fast.Reliable tho idk lol...Id like to see your 720s vs a first gen base veryon.And im gonna guess 620 whp after the mods on the mclaren.So I guess that around 670 to 680ish crank ish.

Thing is the third race told us the most! 1) Lambo launches much harder 2) Mclaren is quicker on the roll.... Weird thing for me was just how much quicker the mclaren was when moving on that last race! Highlights just how much perfect gear changes make or possibly a sloppy change in the Lambo

well the hurucan has a spoiler which isn't good for drag racing, its only good for downforce so that you stay tighter on the ground when making all types of turns on a track. Thats why its a track car, if they took that spoiler off it would've been faster in a straight line

630-635 rwhp but I would like to see it do 645-655 plus with a radial, it’s gonna move it no doubt it’ll be able to get a 9sec pass I’m also guessing a 1.40-1.50 in the 60ft, the quarter I’ll say 9.65-9.85 and trap a 140-144 mph if the DA for that day is good :) let’s see

Godzilla Edition There are even other cars which are track focused, but it all depends upon the combination of performance, aerodynamics and weight. McLaren has No chance on track.

I can only say: McLaren is the symbol of fast (P1, 720s, even 570s). McLaren was the symbol of fast (this 12C, F1). McLaren will always be the symbol of fast.

In roll races the 12c was like all the other mclarens are.... superior (even though the 12c has more than 660ps). But in the drag race the lambo won because of the quattro from Audi. If they would use the launch control the difference in favour of the lambo would be even bigger.
