LAMBORGHINI SIAN Has ARRIVED! New Gumball Hypercars Join the Rally

We've woken up to some new Hypercars on the Gumball 3000 grid! Both a Lamborghini Sian and Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport are onboard as we depart Verbier for the most scenic leg of the rally as we head to Venice this time in my McLaren 675LT Spider!
The 24th annual Gumball 3000 is taking us from Edinburgh to Montenegro, this being my 9th time participating and doing it in the most complicated way possible. Over the course of the six driving days, I'm swapping every night between six different Shmeemobiles with all the transport and logistics having been prepared in advance.
For the start line in Scotland, the car of choice was my Zenvo TSR-S, before then departing London with my Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series that we drove to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. From there, we've undertaken the longest leg in the Lamborghini Huracan STO down to the Swiss Alps. We have another car swap now into Shmeemobile number 4; the McLaren 675LT for a day of top down motoring in the Alps and the roads around Lake Como.
A special thanks goes to Tony from Turbo Transport for travelling around Europe and making sure the cars are swapped in time for the next leg of the rally - it's a logistics exercise and a half.

Why do they have their own plates instead of the standard EU plates?

@@burgienl in Italy the military and ministerial vehicles have their own plate, they follow the standard italian plate regulations but have the initials written in red/blue. Some examplew: VF (firefighters), CC (carabinieri, sort of italian police), GdiF (financial Police), EI (italian army), PC (civil protection) and so on

Don’t know if anyone already said it, but the CRI plate you saw stands for “Croce Rossa Italiana” which is basically the equivalent of UK’s ambulance. They often use such vehicles with such plates to move medical staff without taking up the actual medical vehicle :)

The licence plate on the Volkswagen Touareg at min 16:04 is a licence plate of a car owned by Croce Rossa Italiana (Italian Red Cross). It's the same for EI cars (Esercito Italiano, Italian Army) and VF (Vigili del Fuoco, firefighters).

Totally jealous. We did a very similar trip ourselves last year with a couple of friends in my wife’s Tiguan…..amazing scenery….we then spent 2 weeks touring round Italy before returning home via a slightly different route….brilliant trip….😊

25:51 think its kinda stupid. If someone wants to do Gumball you gotta do the whole rally, not join for just a day or 2. You cant say you did Gumball if you only have participated for a day or two The one I admire the most is the guy in the Chiron, for putting 4500km on that car in 6 days, respect

I haven’t managed to make it to Italy/ Switzerland/ French alps since 2016 where I manages a high speed bike crash! Yesterday was absolutely dream I was lucky enough to be in the same time in the tunnel with the Bugattis and the Sian and to hear those sounds and after see them coming out with the beautiful mountain scenery will be forever one of the best memory in my life.
