ABOUT ME
I’m 32 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 850 breeding ewes.
I shore over 19,000 sheep this season in the UK and have my own shearing run which lets you see many different farms in the summer months.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZfaq and decided I could have a go and now here we are!

My favourite moment was Fern trying to stick up for Meg when that ewe turned back to challenge her. Fern’s come a long way in her training this past year and it shows, both in the defence of her injured but healing elder pack member, and her *almost* instant obedience of the command given.

I love the way that the sheep flow through the lanes and then into the fields, they sort of remind me of schools of fish going through the water. The two weans are fairly coming on Cammy especially wee Jock as he looks like a true mucky pup (as my mammy would say)🤣 P.S. If you don't mind me asking? Ahh... Beautiful! Those drone shots of the flock flowing like a school of fish... Meg, Skye and Fern guiding them along... Very dream-like. 😮 A little well-known trick from Canada: Give your TePari rig a few squirts of that miracle juice WD-40. It's the perfect stuff to protect the latches and the hinge points, without collecting a lot of dirt like heavier oils.

The drone footage was great! I spotted one brown sheep and one black and grey in that sea of white wool lol. Love the "oddball" (aka unique/rare) animals the most. Thanks for sharing your life with us Cammy, Liz, Jock and Angus! I live in a 2 bedroom efficiency apartment with my hubby, 3 kids and a menagerie of around 50 assorted animal species including reptiles, guinea pigs, mice, rats and canines (plus a porch kitty who's adopted us apparently 😂) so I've a full house here 🤣 but I'd absolutely LOVE to live on a small farm with a few cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and a garden to grow veggies... Maybe some day... Until then, I'll live vicariously through y'all and a few other KZfaqrs. Sending love from Kentucky, US!🤘🏻❤️‍🔥

Loved the drone shots of the gliding sheepies. Such good work by the dogs. The Highland coo was adorable. Was that particular field especially chosen for the handoff? Nice to see a seemingly well deserving person win the bike. And you MUST get to Northern Ireland! If I've made it three times from California, you could cross a wee bit of water yourself. It's a beautiful country with lovely people (and two KZfaqrs I follow).

Yes! You tasted it! It was NECESSARY for the video to be complete. Do sheep feel sweet taste? I think, cats don't. Do sheep just like sugar? I like how they just produce a necessary product. It's not there because they are trying to sell stuff, it's there because it's needed. And while marketing is important, they win because they have a good product.

Lovely to see you back working with Lizzie. Wondered why she was hanging over the CFMoto Lizzie works so hard indeed and Jock is growing so quick love the blonde curls. I work with farmers of all types and I am mesmerized by the incredible cooperation between everyone and the phenomenal communication between the shepherds and the dogs I truly appreciate the realities of everyday farming.
