@@comment15 My comment was on his playing style. Pedri is not from La Masia and plays like Iniesta whereas Gavi (from La Masia) plays like Verratti. School and foot alone cant determine someone's play style. The logic that he is the next Messi in general seems flawed in this context. Inshort, Yamal, plays like Neymar but on the right flank with Left foot.

In fact it's the opposite with Spain (and every national team basically), they expect you to give everything for the team and be ready always no matter what - basically the opposite of offering you any guaranteed place. I get that it hurts when players don't choose your country, I'm from Ireland - Grealish, Rice both played with Ireland all throughout the youth ranks, Rice even has 3 caps for the Irish senior team - then they jumped ship to England. It's happened countless times with many players throughout the years. But whatever, if they don't want to play for Ireland, then I don't want them to play either.
