Join me as I bring life to a boring white lampshade with paper napkin decoupage. Decoupage on canvas lamp shade is a great decoupage art for beginners that is super easy and gives a great result. And all this on a budget! Less than $15 for everything!

Thank you for watching, Jamie 💜 I made this lampshade on holiday and had only a few shops to gather supplies from. Any white looking liquid craft glue will work for decoupage. Just play around with the right thickness, thinning it out with water.

Thank you, Jeanine 💙. Decoupage works best on white background, so as long as you paint it with a light color, it should be fine.

When you turn the lamp on at night, do the overlapping lines show up and look messy?

How do you keep from having brush strokes and what did you topcoat it with?

Use watered down glue to apply the napkins and then seal with a water based top coat. I used Vintage Paint by JDL - Primer & Sealer.

Thank you, Salete 💜 I cut the one ply with small scissors - it does not need to be a perfect cut. Because the napkins have white background and the lampshade is white, it all blends together.
