I do not know that. You may ask a pen retailer who does engraving, such as Appelboompennen.

As you say, "An iconic design", Michael, but apart from being slightly larger in barrel & cap circumference, it's a metallic 'Safari' - & that's not a criticism per se, rather more (Lamy) re-inventing what is already a best-selling writing instrument. I have two of those Safari's, & they are solid workhorses - cannot fault the design, at all. Thank you for another interesting review :D

Andrew Tongue I like the design of the Al Star a bit better - were they only as robust as the Safari. Oh well.

& there's the rub, Michael - the Safari is that little bit more consequential in terms of the build quality :)
