Personally, I never saw this scheme of LAN Chile. I could only see rare photos in European ABC timetable publications..I knew it was out there but never managed to see it. By the time my first Miami visit came along, the second swirling cheatline look was in effect and it was very impressive!
Nonetheless, I wanted put this together to show LAN Chile's early jet period.

Thank you for this great video...the black "Lufhtansa style" nose was introduced around 1972....Lan flew to Cuba during the socialist president Ayende's rule...then the right wing dictator Pinochet came to power in 1973 and Cuba flights were discontinued.
