I’ll try to explain the “aesthetic” of this song from my perspective. As she said on this, she doesn’t wanted to live anymore. So why would someone that doesn’t want to live sing perfectly, you know? It was meant to be screaming and not singing, and i think we all agree that when you hate someone and are in pain, you simply don’t care abt being off key and just screaming your pain. I feel and appreciate lana for this masterpiece!

I feel you! That’s my initial reaction too but I guess I get used to it. I think as a Lana fan, we need to accept that it’s part of her artistry that sometimes she sings off key, she’s not perfect, but she’s definitely one of the best artists that I have ever come across.

Its okay not liking a stylistic choice. And Lana it's definitely about artistic choices and portraying emotion rather than just beautifully singing( one of the thing that made me fell for her music ) she always makes you feel what she feels. Personally I love this track a lot ( and White Dress too) because it's representative of how far she went with capturing a specific feeling and state of mind ( here the distress and anger and tiredness from the relationship) with her performance , it's literally a conversation between the two parts and she's done with him. I remember when she stated she was almost just screaming in the track and was unsure about releasing it and I was so captivated and was praying she would 🤣 and I'm so glad she did !

Not trying to sound patronising at all, but clearly not many of the top commenters have been either drug addicts or involved in drugs, and it shows. IMO (genuinely hopefully) this resonates a lot with the ones like me, that have been affected by the issue of giving all their money to a dealer to the point where you sell the shirt off your back to then deny your essentials. Unexpected vocals and production, but very much an unrepresented feeling from people like us lol. Absolutely powerful to the point of fascination of art

No hate but you weren't listening to the song if you thought this was silly. Lana is very meaningful with her music, this song is so painful for some. Her vocals sounded amazing in this track it's supposed to be dramatic like she's crying and begging. It upsets me when people listen to her music but don't really listen.
