I don't understand why people say she doesn't have a great voice. Her voice portrays what she is singing about, she makes you feel the song. She's authentic.

Shes not drunk she just enjoys jazzing up her songs & changing the lyrics when she feels comfortable :) Lana has been sober for 10-11 years after being sent off to boarding school to kick her alcohol addiction so she wouldn't be drunk

what I like about LANA is that she's simple,normal,and she presents real feelings through her music , she is AMAZING

I think she sounds great. The imperfections of her voice make the live versions different, raw and real - the same way Florence from Florence + The Machine can do.

It can be really hard to sing low, soft and breathy at the same time, especially live, it can be nerve racking. When she opens up, she is basically right on. Also, it's so hard to sing when you are trying to hold back the sadness.

She's singing songs she knows but like it's for the first time every time. She is a pop jazz musician. Wherever the moment flows... Her heart is talking to your heart through her art. Every performance is different and so can be demanding of the audience. Cause we may know where she is going but not how. She doesn't make it always easy and pleasing. Just amazing.

This makes me so nostalgic for the early days back before she was really famous. I miss back when being a fan of her felt so exclusive, but I’m glad that 8 years later (2019) she’s getting the recognition she’s always deserved.
