Some simple ways to wire-wrapping finish - Basic Guide - How to make jewelry from copper wire by Lan Anh Handmade
There are many ways to finish wire-wrapping , depending on the size of wire used and your purpose that has different endings.
In this video I will perform 4 ways I usually use:
- Method 1 : Applied for wires with 28gauge and 26gauge (diameter of 0.3 and 0.4mm), the two ends of the wire wrap away from each other. End the cord in the least exposed area, avoiding scratching on the skin and slip out.
- Method 2 : Applied for wires with 28gauge and 26gauge (diameter of 0.3 and 0.4mm), the two ends of the wire are wrapped close together, where it's easy to slip out. Finish the wire with a perpendicular ring and twist it so it won't slip off during use. Requires a hidden corner wide enough to hide the wire, preventing scratching into the skin.
- Method 3: Applied for wires with a diameter of greater than or equal to 0.5mm. Finish the cord on the back of the product. Requirement: cut the wire 1 diagonal angle, to minimize scratching on the skin and slip out.
- Method 4: Applied for wires with a diameter of 0.4 to 0.8mm, the two ends of wire-wrapping close together and want to create a textures at the end. Finish the wire with round twist or rose twist.
TIPS :
- Before doing, Always be sure to straighten the wire for a more beautiful product
