To me, this is one of the most gorgeous kit-plane on the market. She looks sensational.

This is the most beautiful aircraft I have ever seen. Whether or not you will build or buy one yourself.

That touch & go is epic.
@jallenmorris112 жыл бұрын
That touch & go was pretty amazing. So much power. And the person saying 300kts is slow for a turbine is crazy. At altitude, with winds, I've seen data on flightaware that an Evolution hit 376 KTAS. which is 432 mph.

I want one! What a great aircraft

@aerosjk It can have a number of different engines, but this one is about 750 shaft HP

Amazing video for an incredible aircraft. A turbine homebuilt with 330kt capability. This thing rules the sky in the 4 seat propeller world.

This Evolution looks like it is real fun to fly! Pressurized and 300kts

N927LE was at the Moscow Airshow in 2011 and I was very surprised when I saw this Evolution coming across the ramp and parking next to my Legacy in Goose Bay, Canada. Simply by chance, we both stopped at Goose Bay while I was eastbound for my TransAltantic Crossing. Hope that you will soon release some of the video (& stills) shot at Moscow and Goose Bay. Thank you. N767EM

Exactly! You said what I was thinking, minus the swearing.

Sharp corners can lead to localized stress concentrations. Unless there is a corresponding reinforcement, the material in these areas can fail well before other areas of the structure. While it would be possible to accommodate sharp corners in a design, a lighter weight solution involves smoothing out the regions in question, often with curved geometry. The Comet airliner is the best example of this problem.

I'm sure there is an official answer on the internet somewhere...Just my personal opinion, I was wearing a clam shell head set & took off the headset to talk to the other passengers & didn't have to yell, it was very comfortable. And the engine noise is smoother than a piston engine so its less irritating.

what´s the horsepower of this aircraft?
@jallenmorris112 жыл бұрын
The Lancair Evolution is not slow. Here is a link to flightaware data where one hit (with tail winds) 433 mph. Do a search on Flight Aware for N925DW. That's the tail number.

What airport was this?
@uviuar14 жыл бұрын
There is nothing about pressurization which requires the windows to be round. There are dozens of small pressurized aircraft with square and rectangular windows.

You might get the engine and avionics delivered for that. Carbon fiber, advanced avionics, and engine tech have done wonders for invigorating GA, but the steep cost of entry has in many cases replaced the cost of ownership as a barrier to entry and operation.

turbine planes are so much nicer, and the glass cockpit is great...my dream plane.

They are round because it is pressurized.

you are in a tbm or paladeus at that price..
@MrF1fanatic11 жыл бұрын
Soo quiet.
@uviuar14 жыл бұрын
That will never happen. Certification alone would practically double the price, plus it has a $500,000 engine installed. The cheapest you will ever find this plan is probably 800k
