Grange-over-Sands was born and bred in Lancashire. Just because some pen-pushing, jotter-blotter in a musty old government office in Whitehall decided one afternoon that, for opportunist political reasons, it'd look better in Cumbria, it doesn't make it any less Lancastrian. You can officially take the town out of the county, but you can't unofficially take the county out of the town. Or something like that. That's our excuse, anyhow, and we're sticking to it.

I find Grange Over Sands to be a charming place and thoroughly enjoyed my latest visit. My only disappointment being the lack of recognition I received from the locals . . . for as a child I won the Ponderosa Holiday Camp talent competition there TWO WEEKS running 🤣😂

We used to go to the Ponderosa caravan park for supplies when we were little. I always remember the 'Guys' and 'Dolls' signs above the toilets and thinking, 'This is very incongruous for an upper middle class English resort'.

hi i lived in grange in the 60s and 70s i also worked in the 80s at parkers moters i must do a road trip bk up to my old stomping ground and film with my drones

It's a lovely old place is Grange. Always worth a revisit.🙂

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. My my some things don't change all that much the yrs do they, such as wicked vicory? Today though thats useually hidden under the altar if possible. 😁 Unfortunately mail over our way does have a tendency to get scrambled but without any pile to go through🥲 Sounds like district restructuring is still very popular. Our state is undergoing such right now and it's not being shared with "we the people", which has some of us wondering just where are we going to fit in, if at all. 🤔 Well so much from Teddys Takes today.🙋🏻‍♀️

I don't know, Theodora. Our prime minister seems to be using his spawning of illegitimate children all over the shop as a vote-grabber.
