Lancaster City native, I no longer live within the City limits, about 2 miles outside now in East Lampeter Township, never leaving this area.

It's alot more congested than I thought it would be. The homes all seem to be attached, and it seems to be street parking on both sides of the street. I read on wiki that the population is only 58,000, it looks like it would be alot more than that. It looks like a nice place and a price tag that reflects nice place. My guess gentrification is probably going on in Lancaster PA. It must get very crowded when tourists start pouring in.

that's just how older east coast cities where built, dense and walkable like a city should be... yeah they never grew into something like philly or pittsburgh but this is what a city of 58k should look like

There's more city outside the city limits so the 58000 seems off. Harrisburg is the same with 45k but a huge metro area

Lancaster has approx 60,000 in the city and 150,000 in the County areas. I was born and raised here, in the city. I taught at JP McCaskey High for 25 yrs. Gentrification has made it harder for people to buy real estate and rents are higher pushing a lot of native residents out. You can carve out a pretty decent lifestyle if you can afford a home. The biggest draw is the farmland, woodlands 15 min outside of the city in any direction. It is also centrally located to the big cities of the northeastern corridor w excellent train access.

Lancaster Pennsylvania is the home of the Atlantic league champions Lancaster barnstormers and they won the championship game 3 times though

I once saw A Dude With A Crescent Moon Necklace and Blonde Hair In Braids Along Prince Street He Was Over 6 Feet Tall and Might Be Related to the Staff at Water Street Mission. Never Did Catch His Name But I Was Wondering If He Is A Well Known Local. Might Be In His Early 30s. Also I Miss The Area. Lancaster Pennsylvania Is A Cool Place. ❤😊

Lancaster.amish hometown.a nice colonial town.whenever i think of pa.i think of not so much coal mines.steel mills.i seen a few in 2015.went right thru a steel mill area.livepool pa.i think of men in powdered wigs.women dressed in colonial attire.
