Lancaster Sound Breakers - Very First Home Game!

Жыл бұрынWe were the first fans to eneter the stadium on the home opener for the brand new team, The Lancaster Sound Breakers. The Sound Breakers are a Professional Baseball Team in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs and are located about an hour north of LA in Lancaster, CA. This game was played against the Bakersfield Train Robbers. This was their very first game in the "Hangar"(Lancaster Munincipal Stadium) which a few years ago used to be the home of the Jethawks ( Colorado Rockies AAA Team) . We were on a mission to get a Pecos League game ball but had a hard time finding one. The league/team hadn't figured everything out quite yet before opening day, so there were a few hiccups. It was extremely windy so forgive the wind noise. I tried to cover some of it up with some music.

Well, at the beginning of the game she was told she could have the home teams dug out line up card (very first one ever since it was the inaugural home opener), so she wanted to wait for it :)

It's always windy in the Antelope Valley lol. I remember going to Jethawks games I got a ticket to a game but I had Kings tickets for that night so I gave it to my friend.

Yes it it! That is one of the main reasons the MLB dropped that stadium when they needed to pick some to close. Hard to train pitchers with so much wind all the time. Too bad…I miss the Jethawks and watching them play the quakes there!

@@doubleueyettalso the pecos league and other independent league usually gets smaller crowds. Reason why Bakersfield Blaze went out of business is the didn't want to pony up millions for a nice new stadium so the Train Robbers play in an 80 year old stadium. Poor attendance and high MLB expectations did not help

@@erich84502ify I have seen the stadium. Not a great place at all. It’s sad that more people don’t show up to support them. We will probably attend a game this summer and make a video too.

We almost lost our AA team in Binghamton NY. Luckly they reposition the Single A and High A leagues,so we got to keep them. I know you've seen some Red Sox games MLB and AAA games. Next week we play Portland (AA Boston).. Thursday night is Darryl Strawberry bobblehead,and Friday night is "meet and greet" Darryl Strawberry..Keep up the great videos, love watching them!

Our High A dodgers team was replaced with low A, but at least they’re still around! I saw Darryl showed up to the Tri City Valley Cats game in Troy, I wanted to make it up there for that, but wasn’t able to make it work. :(. Thanks for watching :)

Oh shoot, I thought you meant Lancaster PA when I first clicked on 😂 The Pecos league is awesome!!! THEY GET UNIQUE BALLS FOR EVERY TEAM!! Interesting how they haven’t changed the signage yet! Those jerseys are SICK! That stinks that they weren’t using their special balls yet! It also stinks how empty that place was!

We went last Friday as well to see if they had the right balls yet and they did not, so I ordered 2 online and now have them. Lol. The place should get busier as time goes on and people find out about it. (As long as they get their stuff together!). 4 1/2 hr games are way too long! Lol

A ball with an alien. Nice! Lancaster > Chicago for wind. Easter egg in the bushes? Nice. “Kaboooooom!” Looooong concession line. Maybe they are trying to still figure things out. Right by the bullpen! Seems to still have a lot of gremlins in their operation. A salami! Lots of offense! Yes…verrrry long game. Wow. Nobody there! Wow. That lineup card is historic. So cool to get to a first franchise game!

They are brand new and I give them that. We went the next Friday and they had the count on the old school board and the inning on the screen (even though it was a half inning off throughout the whole game) , Tristyn waited in line for hot dogs and missed 3 innings of the game. The game started at 6:35 and we left at 10pm..... the 8th was just starting.

The team doesn’t go out there to collect them. Did you think we were stealing them? Haha. They stay with the fans, and the players toss them up in between innings. Have you ever been to a game? Anyway, We caught 7 total and gave all of them away to kids except the one she wanted to keep. So we kept a ball that was worth $5 a year ago. :)
