When Cecil recounted how the boys died in their father's arms, it sent chills up my spine.

My grandfather was Jess Collins , I'm very proud to say ....they did what you had to do to feed their families. I remember as a child being told by my father " never to mention Abraham Kains name ever in this house " . My father blamed Abe Kain for the deaths of those men . We had the book written by Cassie Brown as part of our studies and never did we mention that name in front of our father .my father was a warm , kind man who was slow to anger , the day I brought that book home brought back sad , angry memories for him I'm sure .

I just finished reading Death on the Ice, the 1914 seal hunt disaster. This is the 1st KZfaq video I have watched.... there are no words for I have no way to relate. Absolutely gut wrenching.

God bless the souls of these men. They died because the man they worked for had more consideration for a seal pelt than the men who worked under his supervision. His actions were criminal. They perished because of his decision to send the men back to their own ship with a storm brewing. He sent them to their deaths. God guard this great and wonderful province we call home.

Can’t wait to get a good meal of flippers and carcass when they go kill some this spring.
Stupid ignorant fucking asshole! If you had to do what these men done to feed their families you would cry like a little bitch! I’m proud to say my fathers first cousin John Howlett survived this disaster with the loss of some of his toes to frostbite. Those men suffered out there on that ice and you say Karma? Fucking idiot!

Your ignorance is stunning. Matched only by your insensitivity. You must be very young.
