An overnight hammock camp at Land Between the Lakes...the one where I try not to get shot! A great overnight at my new favorite spot with unseasonably great weather in December. A review of my new Salomon Cross Hike Mid-boots. A drone crash and recovery...and an unexpected close encounter with a pair of hunters firing shots around my camp. Never a dull trip to LBL! My guy, I'm from the stix...I would drive my Chevy Malibu all up and down that road your on...plenty of room on the grass/leaves to scoot that car around the puddles

Land Between the Lakes is always an adventure. So many areas to explore and every place is different. Sometimes the roads are clear and easy and sometimes they’re white knuckle! I’m hoping to get back out this week and see how the area looks with the spring foliage in bloom!

No 4x4 needed on that road, I've took my Chevrolet Nova in more ruffer places then that, I live in Alabama, we still have back roads that in worse shape that that, especially where they strip mined.

Every person should carry a BIC in their pocket. The most basic and one of the most important survival tools. Yes, I have ferro rods but probably have 20 BICS. The grocery stores have restricted sales of lighters to persons 18 and up. Oh, I give em hell for that when they ID me (I'm 63 lol).

Just found ya here. Great video. LBL is my old stomping grounds. Mostly on the north end around Twin Lakes, old eddyville ferry area. Been couple years since I've been. Moved away but still 1hr 45mins away going to get back down there soon. Really miss the place. But probably going to be hard to navigate Northside cause of tornado damage 😕 but anyways thanks for great video will be watching for more.

Thanks for watching! The roads are pretty clear but a lot of the backcountry areas do still have a lot of down trees. The LBL crew is really good about getting the roads cleared after storms. It's one of the things I love about the area!

I'm not 100 percent sure but I think you have to be 500 feet from a dwelling or campsite to shoot correct me if I'm wrong

It's definitely well known in that field. There's been numerous bigfoot and dogman sightings and a family was massacred there in the 80s and it all points to Dogman. Poor little girl was found partially eaten and slung up in a tree.

@@easternncbigfoot1288 There is a guy who claims to have survive that attack and claims that little girl hanging from the tree is not completely true...she did die from the attack but it was one of the beast who attack them that the G Men found in a tree shot dead from the father who shot the beast before it killed him.

I live 15 min from lbl. I been camping and fishing there all.my life and i wouldnt want to live anywhere else. LBL has it all. Camping hunting fishing hiken and bike riden. And if you lke spooky things theres been stories of ghost. UFOs bigfoot and dogman hahahaha. If your into things like that. My passion is fishing at night off the river banks and it does get a little spooky around 2 am. And i advise everyone to be carrying a weapon with them because there is strang things i have heard in the past that scared the shit out of me but thats all part of the thrill of camping.

No, but I have seen Coyotes, Wild Hogs and Armadillos. I did once have an overly persistent (though he wasn't aggressive) armadillo that kept trying to sneak into my camp for some odd reason. Of course, deer and eagles are probably the most common sightings.

Just had my 2nd van camp out there. I just got my new hammock today. Headed out there real soon. I met up with ZZ Outdoors and had a nice camp with him . (He is a you tuber too). Drop me a note if ya wanna meet up.

I've watched his channel. He's a great camper and an LBL regular for certain! It'd be great to get a trip together sometime. My next trip is going to be a kayak trip most likely out of the same spot.

Lesson for today- don’t be dramatic about a couple guys shotgunning squirrels. If it bothers you, there are a lot of places with no hunting. They were not shooting at you.

Land between the lakes is where that family was murdered by something that ripped mother's arm off..found lil girl in tree half eaten..dad n son mauled to death. Be careful out there.
