In this video I install a cheap amazon diesel heater in my 1992 Land Rover Defender. It goes well and nothing really goes wrong. it was nice.

I've got one as well - been a year in my garage too 😂 did fit yours in the end?

Thanks for the video, great install but the exhaust I think you should have put it right to the edge of the chassis so that fumes can properly escape to atmosphere (especially when using the heater whilst the vehicles static)

Today Was the first day I attempted to Use the Standard Heater in my new to me D90 and omg does it suck. lmfao. Definitely investing in one of these.

Do it. I am continuing work on my under hood/heater core swap box this winter. Might be something for you to think about since there is alot less room in your 90

Would love to see that alternative wing mount attempted.

Im gonna do it before next year I think. It would really just make a whole lot of sense to have this much heat coming from the factory vents. Hell I may just add a second heater!

that is the vent tube

Awesome! For a brief moment I had that thought but it seemed like overkill for a vent line, with the brass washers and and a banjo bolt and all. Seems like something made for higher preasures. Thanks for the info!

@@skidmarkroyalty5862 it’s just overkill to make sure it stays seals underwater, and should lead up to the highest point in the engine bay

@@Rob-cz7lg right, I am just used to jeep vent tubes, which are usually just rubber hoses with hose clamps, thats all!

Hey nice video... I should be installing a Webasto in my TD5 110 in a few days...! About the exhaust and intake pipes, aren't they a bit too close to each other? The intake might suck in the exhaust fumes when you're stationary... Cheers and enjoy the heat :)

I had that thought, I think I may have said it in the video too. So far so good, has not been and issue. I used all of the supplied intake and exhaust hose, and I'm not sure I could have gotten them much further apart than I did, considering they both have to be point downwind (toward the rear of the car)

Great video ! I bought the same heater for my 110 td5 and i am going to try to do the same with the fuelline towards the tank ... did it work well with the heavy bolt for the sinking ?
@skidmarkroyalty58622 жыл бұрын
Haven't had a problem with it yet, still going strong

Is it the 2k heater or the 5k? Cheers
@skidmarkroyalty58623 жыл бұрын
Its a 5k, seems to work well enough, but I could not imagine a 2k would put out enough heat. Although my 110 does not have insulation or anything, just bare metal, so thats also a factor for me.
