Great video. One other job would be to drop the sump and check the security of the oil pump sprocket bolt. It can come loose leading to zero oil pressure. Remove the bolt and add threadlock before refitting - one less thing to worry about.

Just a small point but the "classical" way to tighten down covers, sumps and heads is to start with the bolts in the middle of the sides and diagonally work outwards towards the corners. Starting with the corners as in the video means that any "excess" metal is trapped in the middle and cannot be pressed out flat towards the corners as the corners are already secure. Of course, it's less important with rubber gaskets which have plenty of "give".

I did this in Jan 2020. Preventative maintenance as I was changing the rocker cover gasket. Today I cleaned the oil off the red ECU plug!!

Don't you just love designers? Where is the best place to put the injector rail? I know lets put it inside the rocker box where its nice and toasty! And lets make it out of Plastic!!! No worse I reckon though that Mercedes in there infornate wisdom decided to from 1991 make biodegradable looms so they would return to nature after the cars were scrapped ;) Only they started much sooner than that! Good on you though for playing them at their own game as I am sure they do these things thinking the customer will bring the car in we will quote them thousands to repair it they will just say Oh OK ill have a new car.................... Noo Lets keep repairing them and pishing the barstuards off LOL! Jo

Was your car stopping before you replaced the part

Silicone was applied only to the upper part of the gasket. Is it okay to put silicone under the gasket? Is there any oil leakage after a month?

no instant gasket should be required there mate! remove the engine back plastic cover so that the gasket can be fitted properly
