This is the first video of yours I've watched Nothing like English straight forwrad no nonsense discription and instruction. Just describing the bleeding process was clean straight forward. There were no ambiguities and especially no time wasted on self praise which most You Tubers fill their vids with Watching the rest of your vids are a must do Thank you very much

Top job, best tip to seat seal first I found long nose pliers either side of the pipe clips and a gentle pull Thanks for your help

If you turn the ignition on press peddle 5 or so times and leave it , it will do its own self prime , engine light will flash on the dash

Sat in a lay-by, my fuel pump has given up the ghost! Fortunately I have a new one at home. So waiting for recovery, found your channel, nice straight forward explanations, looking forward to having a fuel gauge as that went ages ago!

don't forget to clean everything (vacuum) before getting the old pump out. You don't want to have all this dirt in your tank...

TD5 does not have a fuel pump on the motor. The the only electric fuel pump is in the tank and it pumps the diesel to 58psi (4 bar) then each injector is a pump that gets it to 30 000psi required to atomise the diesel. What you pointed to is the fuel pressure regulator and fuel cooler.

The in tank pump will do 7 bar and the regulator on the engine will cut it to 4 bar.

Iv got a D2 seems struggle starting some times. No check enegine light been told its had new heater plugs few years ago? Thinkthis is worh looking into? Any help will be fab

It will be glow plugs if it’s cold, but check all fuel components first

@@Jakesoverlandadventures it does it regardless of temperature outside and does it when the engine hot aswell as cold. The glow plug were supposedly replaced a 2-3 years ago could they have gone bad so soon?

Hi mate my discovery td5 is leaking diesel from the Rear pump but is one of the 4 pipes I think as can hear pump working have you got any advice how to change them please pal would be grateful thanks josh

You would have to change the whole pipe on them as the fuel pipes and ends are high pressures pipes

After changing if you have done the priming series it should only make a very little noise

@@Jakesoverlandadventures long time ago I changed mine now lol 😂 much better and when for the all makes one with quality rating of 99.9 lol 😂 interested of OEM everyone was telling me to get at much more cost going strong 💪 I only run full tanks so might be people puting £20 in might have a problem with it being blocked up with shit alos run R x in in one’s a month from B&M found to be cheapest and in stock all the time can get it cheaper at aldi but not aways in stock
