So i went on a journey of restoring my headliner by reupholstering it, alongside with the pillars and sunvisors, not knowing what expects me and having little documentation from the internet.
This is part 1 where i literraly take apart the interior of the car.
Soon to follow the part where I reupholster those parts and reinstalling them back, and a little surprise at the end ... not a very pleasant surprise for me.

Thanks for this, I need to change the drainage tubes as buggers are leaking when it rains so been dreading removing the roof lining

Thanks! very helpful I need to do this job soon. I don't understand why you needed to remove the back seats? You can push them flat. I can understand at the end to remove the side panel in the rear space to allow the headliner to rotate and come out. Do you still thinkthe back seats are necessary or was that just learning and trying?

I obviously did it by learning and trying but i think you can remove the side panel with the back seats fully folded or at least remove just a part of the seats and the side panel next to them

What torx bit did you use to take rear seat belt off at 1:16? Many thanks need to get at a sunroof drain tube

Wow, what a job. No wonder why the quote I got to do it was so high. My lazy plan was to use hundreds of thumbtacks, but wife gave a huge no!. A previous owner of my Ute did it and it looked like a tacky disco. I just learned to ignore them.
