Can't beat older cars! New cars, even though they're spoilt with extras, aren't nearly as fun to drive. I've thought about selling my MG TF and buying something more modern, but I can't stand the feel of newer cars with electronically-actuated throttle bodies and all the bells and whistles. There's nothing like the feel of a mechanical throttle body with its instant response! Newer cars may be better for the environment, but much worse for their driving experience. I hope to keep my TF alive for decades to come - with thanks to Rimmer Bros for providing the ability to do so! Can't believe how many lines are available with top quality parts. Could virtually build a whole car with the parts!

Hi, are these clearance settings the same for a 2.25 petrol. Exhaust valves .025‘, inlet valves .010‘ ? Thank you.

Do you have to replace the gasket every time? I did my clearances a little over a year ago and would like to re-check them tomorrow, along with my timing, but I don’t exactly have a spare gasket lying around.

Had a look in Haynes manual and it states than valve clearances should set in with hot engine. Is that correct? Thanks
