Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) is one of the cycling world’s iconic cycle tours. The iconic route which covers the entire length of the UK - is a challenge that many thousands of people take on each year - and one that Cycle Britain have considerable experience of.
This video showcases a recent (July/Aug 2022) 23-day e-bike LEJOG tour. We had so much fun leading this that we wanted to share it with you. Back in 2021, we were contacted by a group of cycling enthusiasts from New Zealand, of mixed ability and fitness levels. We worked with them to pull together a LEJOG tour that catered to their needs and interests - places they wanted to see and visit, as well as getting input on everything from accommodation to dietary requirements. The 23-day LEJOG was undertaken on e-bikes with Cycle Britain using the very latest-generation 2022 CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid electric bikes. The team at Cycle Britain worked tirelessly with a group lead to plan out every aspect of the tour to ensure it ran smoothly. The New Zealand group were that impressed that some of them booked for our 7-day Hebridean Way tour in 2023.
Cycle Britain offer the chance to undertake some or all of LEJOG - you can undertake stages of the tour if you don't fancy the entire route. You can do it on e-bikes or road bikes. You can find out more information on the dates we're running and about the tour itself and what you can expect from Cycle Britain on our website www.cycle-britain.co.uk. We can cater for everybody from solo riders to large groups. If you’re interested in joining some or all of a LEJOG tour (or any of our other tours including The Hebridean Way), contact us now. You can check out our amazing reviews on Trustpilot and follow us on Instagram/Facebook.

England, Wales and Scotland will all roll beneath your wheels on this route which showcases the best and most varied landscapes available. Cycle Britain offer a range of different tours to suit your level of cycling proficiency. If the 23-day tour isn’t for you, we offer either Southern England (days 1-7), Wales and rest of England (days 8-14) or Scotland (days 15-23). We offer these as three separate tour stages that can be booked via our website. If you want the flexibility of joining a stage on a specific day, we can offer that too - in which case we can price that up for you on request. Please note that for the shorter duration LEJOG tours that we run, the stages will be different lengths (see website for details).
LEJOG on an electric bike will reward you. Our 23-day e-bike itinerary is planned to allow a nice pace - roughly 45 miles (70 kilometres) per day. We organise the electric bikes and transport them to the start and return them to the hire centre after the tour finishes. This lower mileage ensures you savour the charming villages and breath-taking scenery we journey through. Seeing the sense of achievement on our client’s faces as they stand in John O’Groats is always one of our highlights.
This tour is fully-supported. Enjoy the support of our expert team of guides (Alan Little), mechanic (Alan Little) and driver (Alex Braddock) who’ll carry your bags, distribute snacks, help with repairs and lead you along the route while sharing stories that bring each day’s riding to life!
*Please note that although this is an e-bike tour, it is open for those wanting to use road bikes.
