oh no, i still need to. born in oregon, never seen it. but then again im now in arizona and all my arizona friends have never seen the grand canyon lol. I will see crater lake first before grand canyon. Looks so awesome

I flew into Portland with my brother when I was 9, in August 1990, same airline, From Jon Wayne in Orange County CA. It was my first time on a big jet. Except it was night when we arrived. I was really blown away by seeing all the city lights from way up in the air. Since I was just a kid at the time and being from So Cal, I thought it was so strange that it was cold and rainy in the middle of August there. We were only at PDX for maybe 30 min, until our plane took off and continued to Seattle.

i love flying PDX-LAX LAX-PDX. I do it almost every 3 months.

I'm an hour from PDX. :) ..(Vernonia) 1 thing to say though....I HATE airports. So emotional, for me at least. It's always saying goodbye. I hate it.. :( But, i love flying. Especially taking off, landing, and sight seeing. Window seats are the best.

@tubeyouguy1984 yea i can really get into it. I love oregon because of all its scenery. And if u wanna go to the coast, u can, or the desert, head over the cascades and your there! Have u been to Newport or lincoln city by any chance?

@punkrawker4783 I know, that signal of the cell phone can negatively influence working of board equipement, but I don´t know, why the camera is dangerous. It doesn´t emit any signals, which can interfere with on-board computers. Does it?

i like going to airport in morning beacause my room is soooo cold when im sleeping

@punkrawker4783 exactly, I think that if one person has their camera on and is recording it is ok, but if 10 people do, it's bad.

Typically, the flight attendants, are seated and belted in for take off and landings, and seats are almost higher than windows, just shut off any sounds the camera makes, its really not a big deal. Making a cell phone call is!

I like Portland. Definitely a nice airport. Only thing is I tire of all the homeless, and oddball types wandering about. I have been asked for change in the food cart, and especially on the light rail. I'm sorry but I think that looks terrible when arriving at PDX. Don't get me started on in the city itself, homeless and drugged out looking people everywhere. It makes one wonder. Does this city care about itself at all.
