As a Juri player, I can confirm that we have an uncontrollable urge to throw out a kick no matter what the situation is. This might as well be the optimal response :v

@@shadowagent7361 Yep, even her heavy punch is actually another kick. I think there are some kicks that Tundra Storm won't counter though, but I could be wrong about that.

@@Antifrost generally low kicks and jumping kicks (maybe juri's HK) dont get caught iirc

On the contrary, Tundra storm is probably Zangief's second worst move with the real worst being those pitiful stomps he has. Tundra while not good, can still be a nice option if you have a good read. Tundra is also Giefs only defense against some characters drive impact while he's in burnout. I genuinely can't fathom a situation where his stomps aren't just an inferior version of his 3 hit medium punch.

The stomps are special cancellable so funnily enough you can use them as a set up into tundra storm if your opponent doesn't know what they are doing and tries to drive impact you. Also you can use them to lock down your opponents wake up into drive rush grab

@@jonnyanderson3042the second to third "EWW A BUG" stomp isn't a true combo though so most characters have some reversal option to stop before Gief can get whatever minimal benefit from special cancelling the third. also the down-down input feels really awkward. it's fine for tundra storm since that move requires some setup, but this feels like it could've been started with down+KK input instead (but they wanted it to not be excluded from Modern controls for whatever reason)

Tundra storm actually be working with drive rush after command grab fr, cuz they may drive impact if u go for anything punishable by di. Hence the magic beauty of tundra storm

Not yet...was thinking of maybe giving it a try...right now the next game I'm looking forward to is Tekken 8 and using King in that game while I wait for more DLC in SF6.
